Saturday sawsome snowy weather and slipperyroads but it wasn’t too bad.A couple of corrections to lastweek’s article. Edna Pearson (Alec)has not moved to Huronlea at thistime. She is still at the SeaforthManor and is settling in well. The second item is that Kathleen Williamson is not in Stratford Hospital, but in Clinton Hospital. When it comes to people in the hospital, things change pretty quickly. By the time the newspaper comes out, they have moved to another, or went home. At the time of writing, folks in Seaforth Hospital include Leona McDonald, Carla Menheere and Harold Bridge. Bob Cunningham is a patient in a Kitchener Hospital after having bypass surgery. Gerald Watson is also a patient in Clinton Hospital. We wish everyone the best in their time of sickness and speedy recoveries. The Cranbrook Dart Club had 22 players out to take aim on Jan. 12. The high shot of the night went to Kathy Workman hitting a 107 and close behind was Hein Kuipers hitting a 104. Involved in an auto accident last weekend were Tracey and KarissaEckert and Kim and BrookeFinlayson. The foursome were inLondon heading to a hockey gamefor the girls when they were hit headon. Thankfully no one sustained life-threatening injuries. Karissa has abroken bone in her foot and Traceyshaken, bruised and has very sore knees. Tracey had to be cut from the vehicle. The Finlayson ladies suffered some lacerations and were shaken and bruised also. All have been released from hospital after a day’s stay. Tracey is the daughter of Dianne Machan of Brussels and Gary Bennett of Seaforth. Duff’s United Church has resumed services and a nice crowd was in attendance on Sunday. Rev. Gary Clark of Blyth conducted the service. Breakfast was enjoyed by many following the service. This Sunday, Kathy Douglas will be the guest speaker. Services are at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings. Celebrating birthdays this past week included Brenda Dalton, Holly Mitchell, Doris Williamson, Dianne Huether, Murray McCall, Brett Stevenson, Paulene Gulutzen, Joan Ritchie, Marni Knight, Clint Emmrich, Angela Fraser and Nadine Ringgenberg.
