Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending Jan. 7
were 1,602 cattle, 199 lambs and
goats. On Tuesday fed steers and
heifers sold on an active trade at
steady prices to last week. Choice
steers and heifers sold $99 to $105.
Second cut sold $97 to $99. Cows
sold on a strong active trade. On
Thursday veal sold steady to last
week’s prices. Lambs and goats sold
on a strong active trade with prices
$10 to $20 higher. Sheep sold
steady. On Friday, calves and
yearlings sold steady to last week’s
prices.
There were 124 steers on offer.
