farm work by making calves
available to boys’ calf club
members, at prices the boys
could afford. Three junior clubs
in Huron, of which one was a
mixed dairy-beef club, had a
total of 3Q beef calves, of which
2o were Shorthorns, Mr. Rennie
reported. Of the 20 Shorthorns,
however, he commented, only
nine were from pure-bred sires.
