Mr; k John Joynt who has been in
poor health of late, and who suffer
ed a serious setback last week, was
reported on Wednesday as feeling
some better. His many friends, will
wish for him« continued improvement
and hearty greetings at this Chris

Mr. Greg Leith, uifderwent- an op
eration, in (Nicols Hospital, in (Peter
borough last week for stomach ul
cers and is making favorable recov
ery. (>reg has a clerical position with
Canada Packers, in that city. He is-
progressing so favorably that, he is
expected to arrive at home here the
'first of the week. ,

MK~ Ben McClure, an esteemed
resident , and quite • active in spite

! four score mark, was rushed tp
1 Wingham Hospital early Tuesday
morning, where he underwent an
operation for gastric ulcers, and is
reported to be as well as can be-
expected. Mr. McClure has «been
troubled with a stomach ailment
for some * time.
