Mr. Wm. J. Fisher, boundary
east, has been going around the past
ten days, with two cracked ribs,
which quite, fortunately, was the ex
tent of his injuries suffered when
kicked by a horse.
The stock on the Fisher farm wa’
being returned to the stable after
being, watered; A colt entered the
wrong stall and as Mr. Fisher went
to Remove it he placed his ’ hand on
the haunch of the mother, without
speaking’ to the animal first.
The kick which1*, followed struck
Mr.. Fisher over the heart, hurling*
him to the stable floor, were he nar
rowly missed being trarhpl&d, aS
another horse came running into the
stable. The kick was received . at
close range . or otherwise the blow
would doubtless have had more ser
ious results than a couple of cracked
ribs, . '

during the 41 years that he has re

Some years before, a union of the

this congregation worshipped in their
little church on the corner of Willou-

After the present church was
built, the forriier place of worship
was purchased by the late- Adam

Sunday Morning Service
Rev. Turk has a pleasing personality,
a sense of humor and a dramatic

congregation is on the point of tears
and the next is in a happy mood.
Scarcely mentibmrig his activities in -

the 50 years. Specially he mentioned
“Aunt” Lizzy Webster, who was
here when he last visited Lucknow
not so long ago. “But they are here,”
he said, “they are among the great
crowd of witnesses," and if he did ‘
not believe so he could no longer -put
his trust in the Word of God.

he did not come a,s a mourner. ’' It
