September 1934 and 429 for September 1933. The total amount paid to pension- k™^„ers_for^;the--fost^9-/m^^^f“rl'9 waa $83,1418.21 of which the County’s share is 10% or $8341.82, over $900.00 per month. At present there are 14 inmates of the House of Re­ fuge receiving pensions of $20.00 .per month and as $17.50 of each monthly cheque is turned over to the County - Treasurer for their maintenance the cost of running the ““""Hlffisirof' ReYuge"^ ed by nearly $3000.00 per year. County Highways , • Owing to the fact that during the present year the Blue Water High­ way from Huron-iBruce boundary: to Alienford was taken over’ by the ' Government as a Provincial High­ way—thereby relieving the County of the cost of the upkeep of about 50 miles of County roads—a num­ ber of the Township Reeves at the ' June, session n Resolutions Council approvfedl of a resolution from the .
