The Adastral Park Women's
Auxiliary sponsored a drug
addiction program in the base
community centre last Monday
evening.
The program consisted of two
films: "Narcotics The Inside
Story" and "Drugs and the
Nervous System" followed by a
question and answer period
conducted by Dr. G. P. A.
Evans, medical officer of health
for Huron County.
In his remarks, Dr. Evans
stressed that lack of
communication between
teenagers and parents is often
one of the basic problems
leading to drug usage.
An audience of over 200
teenagers and parents attended
and participated in the
interesting and beneficial talk.
Later the ladies of the
auxiliary served coffee and
doughnuts. Door prizes were
awarded to J. Mierau and D.
Moreton.
