The Perth Board of Education
will host the conference.
Keith Culliton reported on a
teacher-trustee committee
meeting which he said both
groups are finding valuable. He
said there is agreeMent on
ground rules for teacher salary
negotiation. The teachers, he
said, want the board to set a
retirement policy.
A request for a teacher
transfer review panel was
rejected by the school board.
The board held that such a body
is not necessary.

The Dept. of Lands and
Forests contacted 533 hunters
on the Opening day of waterfowl
hunting in Grey, Bruce and the
northernp art of Huron
Counties. In 2,239 hours these
hunters bagged 406 ducks. Only
seven geese ware checked.
