Getting slim and staying trim
is not easy. Food experts at
Macdonald Institute, University
of Guelph, advise that any
reducing diet should include a
balanced supply of meat, fish or
poultry, vegetables, fruit, bread
or cereal, and milk, yet have a
caloric level that will encourage
a steady drop in weight. At a
1,200 to 1,600 calorie count,
most people can lose about two
pounds a week. Dieting should
offer variety and enjoyment and
help to establish new eating
habits.
Seated in the top row between manager Len Fawcett and Bert
Clifford, a member of the executive, are Paul "Archie" Pickett,
Cam Colquhoun, Jim "Newt" Collins and Jim Livermore. Pat
Langille and Brian Edgar are not pictured. Members of the
executive, not shown are Percy "Poss" Livermore, Lou Dutot and
treasurer Danny Colquhoun. — Staff Photo.
