' Mr, and Mrs, George Millian
celebrated their 55th wedding
anniversary on May 14 with
friends and relatives calling
during the day.
Last Sunday, following
church services at Knox United
Church when their
great-grandchild, Lori Danette
Millian,
infant daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. Barry Millian was
baptized, the family gathered at
the Tiger Dunlop Inn for a
special Mother's Day .and
wedding .celebration.
Those present with Mr. and
Mrs. Millian were Mr. and Mrs.
Douglas McNeill and Mary Lou;
Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Mitchell,
Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Murray
Slusarchuk of Edmonton; Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Slusarchuk Jr,
and David of Toronto; Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Mitchell, Susanne
and Larry of Goderich; Mr.
Walter McIlwain, Goderich; Mr,
and Mrs. Charles McGee, Jane
and Susan of Kintore, Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Thomson, Mark,
Cheryl and Pamela of Stratford,
Miss Patricia 1Vlillian, London;
Mr, and Mrs. Charles Merrill,
Clinton; Mrs. Pears Watson,
Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Clare

Mr. and Mrs. Barry Millian
entertained 20 relatives for
supper. Many gifts and cards of
congratulations were received by
Mr. and Mrs. George Millian.
They have a family of six
daughters; Mrs. Douglas (Minnie)
McNeill, RR 6, Goderich; Mrs.
Mildred Hudson, Hope, B.C.;
Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Treble,
London; Mrs. Charles (Matie)
Mitchell, RR 5, Goderich; Mrs.
Charles (Colleen) McGee,
Kintore and Mrs. Carl (Ruth)
Thomson, Stratford. Also 18
grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. One son,
Charles, passed away several
years ago. The congratulations
of all our readers are extended
to Mr. and Mrs, Millian on this
occasion.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Huron County Historical
Society will hold its .annual
meeting next Monday evening in
the Auburn Community
Memorial Hall with the
president, J. W. McLaren of
13enmllier in charge. It is hoped
that many will attend because
this is the first time the
historical society has held a
meeting in Auburn.

district attended the- ; golden
wedding annive}arry of Mr. and
MIs. Harry Rinderklaecht of
Detroit, Mrs Rinderknecht was
the former May $eagle, the
daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs.
George Beadle and was born in
this community, Her'eldest son,.
George Disney and= Mrs, Disney
entertained 70 guests in St. Clair
Shores, Michigan. Besides Mr.
Disney,, the couple have two
other sons, Maynard of Detroit
and Harry Jr of Almonte and
five grandchildren; Relatives and
friends from this diStrlct who
attended included Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Harold Livingstone, who
has spent the past six weeks with
her son and family in Calgary,
and a sister in Manitoba,
returned hoarse on Sunday.

returned home last week from
hospital, having undergone
surgery recently.

hospital but • are making
favorable progress.

Jorgenson at the spring
convocation held at Ryerson
Polytechnical Institute in
Toronto recently. Her course
