Last Sunday, following church services at Knox United Church when their great-grandchild, Lori Danette Millian, infant daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Barry Millian was baptized, the family gathered at the Tiger Dunlop Inn for a special Mother's Day .and wedding .celebration. Those present with Mr. and Mrs. Millian were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McNeill and Mary Lou; Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Mitchell, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Murray Slusarchuk of Edmonton; Mr. and Mrs. Murray Slusarchuk Jr, and David of Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mitchell, Susanne and Larry of Goderich; Mr. Walter McIlwain, Goderich; Mr, and Mrs. Charles McGee, Jane and Susan of Kintore, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thomson, Mark, Cheryl and Pamela of Stratford, Miss Patricia 1Vlillian, London; Mr, and Mrs. Charles Merrill, Clinton; Mrs. Pears Watson, Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Clare Millian; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Millian and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Millian. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Millian entertained 20 relatives for supper. Many gifts and cards of congratulations were received by Mr. and Mrs. George Millian. They have a family of six daughters; Mrs. Douglas (Minnie) McNeill, RR 6, Goderich; Mrs. Mildred Hudson, Hope, B.C.; Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Treble, London; Mrs. Charles (Matie) Mitchell, RR 5, Goderich; Mrs. Charles (Colleen) McGee, Kintore and Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Thomson, Stratford. Also 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One son, Charles, passed away several years ago. The congratulations of all our readers are extended to Mr. and Mrs, Millian on this occasion. HISTORICAL SOCIETY The Huron County Historical Society will hold its .annual meeting next Monday evening in the Auburn Community Memorial Hall with the president, J. W. McLaren of 13enmllier in charge. It is hoped that many will attend because this is the first time the historical society has held a meeting in Auburn. Mrs. W. Bradnock was guest speaker at the North Middlesex District Annual W.I, held at Lucan last Tuesday, Twenty,eight friends and relatives honored Miss Margaret R. Jackson on the occasion of • her 83rd birthday by calling on her recently. The evening was spent visitinging and a decorated e d birthday cake was served to the guests. , Mn. and Mrs. Arnold Rathbun of Georgetown were• recent visitors with his sister, Mrs. Donald Haines, .Mr, Maines and Ed. Phillips at her' home following eye surgery. recently in St. Joseph's hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. William Stiles spent the weekend in Toronto and London. Mr. and Mrs, William Empey and family spent the holiday in eastern Ontario. Albert St., Clinton, was one of more• than 1,200 graduates to receive diplomas from President P. C. Jorgenson at the spring convocation held at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto recently.
