Elmer Trick.
Flower bearers were four
members of the Session of Knox,
Presbyterian Church.

Obituaries
MR$. JOSEPH 4. HART
Mrs. Edna Elsie Hart of HR 2,
Clinton, died April 15 at her
home in Colborne Township.
She was born October 4,19Q5
jn McKillop Township, daughter
of Reuben and Annie Hart, and
Was married June 4, 1924.
Besides her husband, she i$
survived by three sons, B. Jack
of Clinton, George of ,Dayton
Valley, Alta, and Donald at
home; a brother, William of
Wroxeter and a sister, Ethel
(Mrs. Angus Carmichael) of
Goderich,
Funeral services were held at
Ball Funeral Horne, Clinton, last
Thursday, followed by
interment at Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Yves,
George Ives, Aaron Fisher,
Norman Alien, Orville Blake and
Les Jervis.
Fiowerbearers were Jack
Willis, Gerald Hart, John Hart,
Jim Hart, and Gerald Blake.
UCWs meet
WO — HE — LO UNIT
The April meeting of the
Wo -He -Lo Unit, Wesley Willis
UCW, Clinton was held at the
manse. Twenty-one members
attended. Mrs. William Murch
was in the chair and opened with
a poem.
The worship service was in
charge of Miss Esther Jamieson.
The devotions centred around
the appearance of Jesus after the
Resurrection and an appropriate
Bible reading was given by Mrs.
F. Pennebaker.
A short meditation and prayer
was given by Miss Mary
Jamieson. "The Idyll of Easter"
was read by Mrs. H. Jenkins. A
piano solo by Mrs. F.
Pennebaker was very much
enjoyed.
The visiting committee
reported five hospital calls and
16 home calls made. Mrs.
Mowatt gave a very lovely talk
and demonstration on ceramics.
TUCKERSMITH UNIT i
Tuckersmith Unit 1 of the
U.C.W. of Brucefield United
Church met Monday evening at
the home of Mrs. Elgin
Thompson.
Mrs. Norris Sillery and Mrs.
Ross Scott were in charge of
devotions. Mrs. Siilery opened
with a poem. The topic was
Easter. Mrs. Ross Scott gave an
interesting talk on China.
Mrs, Ross Chapman,
president, took charge of the
business portion.
Mrs. Don .Stuart read a letter

rummage sale was set for May 3.
Mrs. Gordon Richardson
invited us to her home in
Clinton for our May meeting.
Mrs. Chapman closed with
prayer.

Omitted from last week's
olrituary report: on Mrs. Margaret
E, Snell were the names of
several relatives, including two
sons, .fames and Richard of
Blyth's tWe daiighters, Mrs, Alvin
(Barbara) Betties of Bayfield and
Ws. Jayne Mary Taylor of
Dawson Creek, B.C. and a. sister,
Mrs. Violet. Doll of San Diego,
Cal.
Also surviving are her husband
at the home address, RR 1,
Clinton, and several nieces and
nephews in England,
MRS. H. MELVILLE SCOTT
Mrs, Melville Scott died
suddenly in Kincardine General
Hospital on Thursday, April 10.
She was formerly Florence
Mabel Grigg, daughter of the late
Edward and Matilda Fisher
Grigg. Born • in Colborne
Township, she received a
Business College diploma and
accepted a position in Toronto
Where she resided until her
marriage to Melville Scott in
Metropolitan Church Chapel in
Toronto in 1952. They then
moved to Kincardine District
and later to the town of
Kincardine.
She was a faithful member of
Knox Presbyterian Church and a
member of the W.M.S. and the
Scott Dorcas Society.
Besides her husband,- she is
survived by two sisters, Mrs.
