In the '3.0 contest, both Richard. Welch and David Bartliff , played outstandingly in the nets and goal -getters for Clinton were Jamie Thompson, Greg Butler and Bill Irwin. This weekend the Ponies host a Pee Wee team from Dearborn, Mich, On Friday evening both clubs will travel to Goderich to watch the A and AA finals in the Young Canada Week tourney, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, the Dearborn boys play at CFB Clinton and that evening the visitors play the town Ponies. In Squirt play, Rich Kush's D team clobbered the B club on Saturday by a 12-0 tally and now advances into finals against either A or C. Paul Gibbings led the way with five goals; Paul Priestap put in three;, John Feeney, two; Robert Taylor, one; and Peter Thompson, one. In their first game on Thursday evening last week, the D team was victorious with a 5-2 final score.
