Council agreed to petition the minister bf labor and the director of employment standards to have the regulation revised to include snowplowing under the definition of "maintenance," Britnell told council he now anticipated little variance in overtime hburs until perhaps December when severe snowstorms could again cripple the county, "I think most everyone agrees that snowplowing accounts for about the only overtime hours;" remarked Britnell, Fourth -place rink, which also received an award from Colonel Ryan (at far left) includes, from left to right, Bill Duncan, Marcel DeWinter, Bill Stanbury and George Sinker. Crediton came out on top in Tuesday's match with a score of 5-3 and tallied six goals to Clinton's three on Thursday. In the first game, Dennis Morrissey .and Bill Chipcase gave Crediton an early 3.0 lead before Livermore was able to knock in a rebound from Murney'S shot to put Clinton an the scoreboard, Young and Morrissey scored again before Big Sid Macauley drilled in a long shot from the blueline and Bud Bayes pushed in a pass from Harvey Dale to close out the scoring at 5.3. ' The final intermediate game for the seaaon was a real thriller.. After giving Crediton the first goat of the game, the Colts .bounced back with a goal by Don McDougall. Daring the first period, Clinton missed five clear breakaways and as the game progressed the missed goals were the difference between a win and a loss. The second period was scoreless for 15 minutes when again Don McDougall scored on Minor hockey teams ready for tournaments, exhibitions With all of Clinton's minor hockey teams eliminated from WOAA playoffs, the boys are concentrating on upcoming tournaments. The Fish and Game Bantams travel to Harriston Saturday to play in an annual tourney, with the first game scheduled for noon. Saturday saw the return of regular play in the Kinsmen Minor Hockey Programme. The Lobb Redmen squeaked out a 4-2 win over Hydro to earn a first -place tie with the Kinettes. Steve Amsing scored two first -period goals to give the Redmen an early lead, but Neil Colquhoun and Ken Kelly tied the score up by the end of the second period. Two successful third -period tries by Steve Cook without a reply from the Hydro was enough for the win. With the tie for first -place, a sudden death game will be played this Saturday at 3 p.m. to decide whether the Lobb Redmen or Kinette team will hold top spot. Fifty seconds later ,a two -on -one break netted a goal for Crediton to tie the score. Again early in the third period, Livermore and McDougall missed on breakaways and Crediton took the breaks on two quick goals one by Fred Lamb and the other by Dennis Morrissey, Clinton closed .the score to 4-3 on a weird goal by Randy Glew. Glew and Draper broke in alone on Crediton's goalie, The goaltender kicked out two rebounds and then the puck bounced back behind the net. On Glew's pass out to the front, the puck hit the goalie and bounced back into the net. With two minutes left in the game, Clinton pulled its goalie, Gary Black, but the gamble failed when Chipcase scored a long shot at 19:20, To move ahead farther, Chipcase scored again 10 seconds later, leas the final tally at 6.3 in favor Crediton.
