To present the Annual Statement for the .fiscal year
ending November 30, 1968.
To verify disposition of the 1968 Surplus -- of
$32,422,00. The Board of Directors have declared a 2%
patronage dividend
To elect three directors for a term of three years. The
terms of 81gin Hendrick and Donald Campbell have expired
and James Drummond retired last year. bon Campbell,
having completed six years on the board, will not be eligible
for re-election,
To consider, and if thought advisable, to confirm,
with or without variationn, an ainendinent to Section 4 of
Artie1e VI of the General by-laws to increase the interest
rate on additional monies borrowed from nienibers froth 6
to 7 per centum per annum.
To deal with such other business as may be properly
dealt with at this time.

1st Bantam tourney

Only a week after the town's
first and very successful winter
carnival, Clinton .last weekend
held its first annual Bantam
Hockey 'Tournament -- and
already Doug Andrews,
recreation director, is receiving
praise for the event,
Arthur J. Lochead, manager
of the Forest Rotary Bantams,
wrote to Mr. Andrews this week
and said, in part; We
thoroughly enjoyed our two
days at your tournament and do
appreciate everything you have
done to make our stay so
enjoyable. For your first
tournament, your effort and
organization is top drawer. The
ladies did a grand, job of feeding
the players.
The tourney opened Friday
night with the following
contests: "C" — Wingham, 5 -
Seaforth, 4; "D" — Lucknow, 6 -
Harriston, 4; "E" — Monkton,
10 - Blyth, 8 and "B" - Exeter, 9
- Clinton, 6.
On Saturday, the following
results were posted: "5"
Brussels, 8 - Adastral Park, 1;.
"E" — Six Nations, 7 - Ilderton,
0; "B" — Delhi, 8 - Walkerton, 5;
"E" — Alvinston, 8 - Paisley, 2;
"D" = Sarnia Indian Reserve, 4
Ayr, 3; "C" — Dresden, 14 -
Mount Forest, 1; "C" — Forest,
5 - Wiarton, 0 and "C" —
Waterford, 7 - Port Elgin, 2.
In Saturday evening
semi-finals, Six Nations topped
Alvinston 5-0 in "E"
competition; Dresden's 3 beat
Wingham's 1 goal in "C" play;
Forest tallied 3 to Waterford's 3
in another "C" game and
Monkton beat Brussels 9-2 in an
"E" match.
In the "A" finals on Sunday
afternoon, Ingersoll downed
Goderich 6-3 by scoring three
goals in the second period and
two in the third after giving
Goderich an early 2-1 lead.
Ingersoll's top scorer was Dave
Pembleton who led the way with
three goals and an assist.
In "B" finals, Delhi's four
goals gave it the victory over
Exeter with 2.
Leading up to the "C" finals,
the Wingham-Seaforth game was
Avon by Wingham in overtime
and in Forest's 5-0 triumph over
Wiarton, all the goals were
scored in the last period. The
CLINTON 4-H CLUB •
The "first meeting of the
Clinton 4-H girls' homemaking
club was held last week at the
home of Cathy Seinples. A
dozen girls turned out to elect
Connie Gibbings president; Jean
Falconer, vice-president;
Dorothy Collins, press reporter
and Debbie Gibbins, secretary.
The club is starting on the 4-H
course, "Meat in the Menu."
In
finals saw Forest top Dresden
Finals in the "D" team.
contest provided spectators,
with the day's most thrilling
game arid Lucknow and the .,
Sarnia Indian Reserve hit each
other heavily and both clubs
showed good puck -passing.
Lucknow missed several good
scoring chances early in the third
period and lost by one goal, 6-5.
The "E" finals pitted
Monkton against the stronger
Six Nations team. Despite .the
disadvantage, Monkton kept up
to the smooth -playing Indians
until the third period and
eventually lost 9-3.
