Speaker at the meeting was Miss Susan Heard, county home economist. Leaders for the 4-11 programme, "Meat on the Menu," will be Mrs. L()uelia McGowan, senior girls, and both Mrs. Cliff Snell and Mrs. Harvey Snell for the juniors. The three leaders will attend a training school in Clinton next week. Mrs. L. McGowan, home economics convenor, read a poem and introduced the guest 'speaker whose topic was "A Forward Look in Home Economics," The talk dealt wi predictions in housing, Tashi() food and the family unit of t future. Honourary president is Mrs, Lorne Scrimgeour, Other officers: vice-presidents, Mrs. Loueila McGowan and Mrs. Robert Carter; secretary -treasurer, Mrs. Emerson Wright; directors; for 1969, Mrs. Calvert, .Falconer, Mrs. Alfred Pierce, Mrs. George Watt, Mrs. Wellington Good and Mrs. William Carter; directors for 1969-1970, Mrs. Molly Grant, Mrs. Keith Webster, Mrs. Jim Phelan, Mrs. John Young and Mr. Jatt Jaskula; auditors, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnston and representative to the Recreation Committee, Keith Webster. The past year has been very successful. The . society maintained the park, flower beds and window boxes at the hall. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Clinton Branch, catered 15 banquets last year, serving nearly 1,500 meals.' The veterans report was prepared by Mrs. Milton Schreiber who noted that due to the death of Mr. Price at Westminster Hospital, the auxiliary has adopted Roy ''Leppington of Brucefield as a new veteran. Fred Sioman, formerly of Clinton, is the other veteran receiving monthly treats from the auxiliary. Mrs. Dennis Bisback, new auxiliary president, took over the chair from Mrs. K.
