To the Ratepayers
of Hullett Township:
Ratepayers are requested by the council not
to park cars on Township roads during the
winter months in order not -to hinder
snow -plowing operations. Council will not be
responsible for damages to any vehciles
parked on the roads.

It is also requested that residents of Huilett
Township do not push or dump snow on
Township roads, for those who _do will be
held responsible for any damage caused to
any vehicle because of this.

Members of the Bayfield
Lions Club met last Tuesday for
the regular dinner meeting at the
Little Inn.
During February there will be
no dinner meetings held in
Bayfield, due to the closing of
the Inn. Visitations will be made
to other clubs.

Two, 4.21 homemaking clubs
will be supported this spring by
the Blyth Women's Institute, it
-was agreed when the W.I. held
its monthly meeting. Speaker at
the meeting was Miss Susan
Heard, county home economist.
Leaders for the 4-11
programme, "Meat on the
Menu," will be Mrs. L()uelia
McGowan, senior girls, and both
Mrs. Cliff Snell and Mrs. Harvey
Snell for the juniors. The three
leaders will attend a training
school in Clinton next week.
Mrs. L. McGowan, home
economics convenor, read a
poem and introduced the guest
'speaker whose topic was "A
Forward Look in Home
Economics,"

Blyth Horticultural Society at its

maintained the park, flower beds

conducted a Christmas home
decoration contest, and erected
two decorative lights on the
main street. Lunch was served
by Mrs. Sundercock and
Wright.

Legion auxiliary serves

The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Royal Canadian Legion, Clinton
Branch, catered 15 banquets last
year, serving nearly 1,500 meals.'
That tally was among the
year-end reports presented at a
meeting January 13. Committee
leaders who summarized 1968,
activities were: Mrs. Thomas
Leppington, flowers; Mrs. H.
Kingswell, kitchen and
decorating; Mrs. William
'Chambers, canteen; and Mrs.
Doug Andrews, purchaser for
banquets.
The veterans report was
prepared by Mrs. Milton
Schreiber who noted that due to
the death of Mr. Price at
Westminster Hospital, the
auxiliary has adopted Roy
''Leppington of Brucefield as a
new veteran. Fred Sioman,
formerly of Clinton, is the other
veteran receiving monthly treats
from the auxiliary.
