Committee of the I.O.O.F. and Amber Rebekah Lodges, Hensall, gave, out 25 Christmas plants, and several boxes of chocolates to shut-ins in the village, patients at Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich, H uronview, War Memorial Children's Hospital in London, South Huron Hospital in Exeter, • and Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall. Four confirmed at. St. Paul's A Confirmation Service was conducted at St. Paul's Anglican Church with Rt. Reverend H. F. G. Appleyard, Bishop of Georgian. Bay, officiating. The four young girls confirmed were - Deanne Marlene Scrabuik, Itensall; Julie Ann Taylor; Kathy Wells; Deborah Wooden; all of Exeter. They looked very demure in their white dresses and veils. A solo was rendered by Miss Mary Goodwin, Mr. Harry Page was the Bishop's staff bearer. Bishop Appleyard gave the blessing at' the close of the service. • Refreshments were served by the A.C.W. in the church schoolroom during which, time Reverend Seegmiller, Mrs. Seegmiller and family were presented with gifts from the congregation as a token of their esteem and good wishes in their new Parish in Nova Scotia. W. McLachlan when their neighbours surprised them on the occasion of their thirtieth wedding anniversary. The evening was spent at euchre. A presentation of an oil Painting was made after an address read by Alex McBeath. Following the address a delicious lUnch was served.
