pretty wedding on Saturday,
December 7, when Mr. Donald.
Beck and 'Reverend Stewart
united in marriage Barbara Ellen
Turner and David Gerald
Mansfield, in a double ring,
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Grant R, Turner,
Bayfield and the groom's parents
. are Mr. and Mrs. David G.
Mansfield of St. Catharines,
The church organist, Mrs.
William Cox accompanied Mrs.
Robert La' Beau as she sang
"Wedding Prayer" and "I'll Walk
Beside You,"
Given in marriage by her
father the bride looked lovely in
a floor length gown of cloud
white delustred satin, fashioned
with tiny scpared yoke and long
sleeves frosted with Alencons
lace. The softly gathered skirt
ended in a cathedral type train,
Her triple tiered veil of tulle
illusion fell from a tiny coronet
of flowers and baby pearls, she
carried a bouquet of mauve
orchids,
Mrs. Phillip Gemeinhardt of
Bayfield was matron of honour,
wearing a floor length gown of
purple velvet, She carried a
white fur muff with a mauve
orchid spray, a matching
headdress completed her
ensemble.
Miss Mary Kate Turner,' of,
Greenwood, N.S. niece of the
bride, was flower girl and wore a
white velvet floor length gown,
with a white 'velvet bow and

carried :a white fur muff with a
mauve orchid spray,
James Mensfield, St,
Catharines, attended his .hrother'
as groomsman, aqd guests were
ushered by Bradley Turner,
Bay field, and Jeffery .Mansfield,

reception was held at the Albion.
Hotel, Bayfield.
The bride's mother chose a
two piece ensemble of Cameo
pink with matching accessories
and a corsage of white mums.
The groom's mother wore a
dress of rose pink with matching
accessories and a corsage of
white mums. • •
For their honeymoons to
Montreal the bride donned a
camel hair suit and hat, with
brown accessories and an orchid
corsage.
Out of town guests attended
from London, Toronto,
Kitchener and St. Catharines.
Prior to the marriage the
bride was honoured at showers
given for her by, Mrs. M. Merrier,
St. Andrew's U.C.W., Mrs. P.
Gemeinhardt and . Mrs. D.
Mansfield, St. Catharines.
FISH AGE
The microscopic examination
of a scale reveals concentric rings
which are formed as the fish
grows. Superficially, the pattern
resembles a finger print. Fish
grow at different rates in
summer and winter, and this is
apparent in the scale pattern.
