The Goderich detachment
Ontario Provincial police report
no ,serious accidents in the
district as the holiday season
gets into full swing, but there
,have been a number of "fender
benders."
. The following six mishaps
.occurred in the Clinton area
between December 8 and
December 14:
On Monday, December 9 on
County Road 25 at intersection
of •County Road, 8, Harry.ZweP,
RR 2, Brussels, Harry Hinz,
Mildmay, and William Moss,
Auburn, were involved in a three
vehicle accident involving two
trucks and a tractor hauling a
farm wagon, Approximate total
damage to the vehicles, $125,
On Tuesday, December 10 on
Highway 4 north of Clinton,
William Chambers, 81 William
Street, Clinton, and' Bruce
SehoenhalS, $5 Princess Street,
Clinton, were involved in a two
car accident resulting in an,
aPpro4imate total damage of
$90 to the Vehicles.
On Friday,, December 14 on
Highway 4 ,south of the Air Base
Road, an Unknown vehicle
struck a Department of
Highways detour sign and
flasher, estimated damage$20.
On Saturday, December 14
on Highway 4 north of
Londesboro, James Ross, RR 1,
Brucefield, was involved in a
single car accident resulting in
$250 damage to the.vehicle.
On Saturday, December 14
on Highway 4 north of Clinton,
George- Mulholland, Stratford,
andWaclaw Racihorski,
Toronto, were involved in a two
car accident resulting in an
approximate total damage of
$400 to the vehicles.
On Saturday, December 14
on Highway 4 south of Air Base
Road, William Earl Ceasar, Owen
Sound, struck a parked vehicle
owned by Raymond Whaling,
Hanover, resulting in an
approximate total damage of
$50 to the vehicles.

early lead. Goderich beat

7:81 of the second period, but
Mike Anstett evened the score at
8;09 on an unassisted goal.
Three" minutes later Lucky
Langille completed ,a pass play
from Paul Kelly and Barry Edgar
to again give the locals a lead.
Goderich made the score 3-3 at
14:59 of the second period.
Barry Edgar scored at 5:37 and
13;36, then assisted on Brian
Kennedy's goal at 14:31 to give
Clinton a decisive win of 6-4.
The Ponies were blanked
twice this past week in WOAA
League play. On Friday evening
they lost 2-0 and again on
Monday night in Clinton, the
visiting team from Hensall
scored• one in the first period,
three in the second and another
in the third to win easily 5-0,
The team played Zurich
Tuesday. Results of that game
were not available at presstime.
The next game is in Seaforth
Saturday night, followed by a
home game against 00.410

The Huron County 4-H Sheep
CIO will he organizing for the
new Year on Friday, December
27 in the Agricultnral Office
Board Roam, Clinton.
This year's cluh had a very
successful year with 100 percent
of its members competing at.the
Clinton Spring Fair in June.
At their meetings the
members studied feeds and
feeding, and judging, with the
majority of the eighteen
members actually taking part in
the teaching_ process themselves.
For the new year, field trips,
twilight meetings, and regular
discussion meetings have been'
planned.
It is hoped that as many
young • people as possible
between the ages of 12 and 20
can take part in this club to
learn of the sheep industry in
Canada.
