Seaforth, was charged with two
counts of consuming alcoholic
beverages and paid $75 on one
and $100 on the other when
court was held in Clinton last
Wednesday.
John J. Hoogenes, 18, of RR
1, Varna, was fined $80 and
costs on a similar charge.
Gordon Smith, 18, of RR 3,
Clinton, was penalized $50 on
an alcoholic beverage violation
and Michael Gridsak, 17, paid
$75 and costs.
Edward J. Helm of London
was fined $25 and costs for
having liquor in an automobile.
The only traffic fine of the
day was paid by James T. Kyle
of Kippen. He contributed $25
and costs for careless driving.
Other cases were adjourned
until the next session here.

centres under consideration.
The new chairman and
vice-chairman have been
involved in education for several
years. Mr. Lavis was a member
of the Clinton and District
Collegiate Institute board before
it became the Central Huron
board.
Mr. Elliott, a former
elementary school teacher, has
served for four years on the
Central Huron board, the past
year as vice-chairman.
He was one of six school
trustees from across the province
on a committee selected by the
Ontario School Trustees Council
to study teacher salaries across
the province. The , committee
was active from • last November
to this May.
All 14 board members,
including Daniel Murphy of
Goderich, the county separate
school representative, and the
three women board members,
