Mrs. Don Middleton was in;
,.charge of devotions, which took
the form of .a special Litany.
As New Year's Day is the,
regular meeting date, it was
decided to. have the January
meeting on the second
Wednesday.
It was also decided to change
the regular meeting date
officially to the second
Wednesday of each month.
A "thank-you" card was
received from Mr. and Mrs.
James Storey.
Mrs. John Cole read a very
interesting article by Bishop
Appleyard on his impressions of
the Lambeth Conference of
1968.
The annual reports were
received. Mrs. Ray Wise gave a
splendid secretarial resume of
the year's activities. Mrs. Keith
Miller gave the financial
statement and Mrs. Alvin Dutot
the Dorcas.
Mrs. Deeves stated the Bake
Sale receipts were up from last
year. Mrs. Fred Middleton
reported as social secretary and
Mrs. Deeves in charge of the
Birthday Box.
The Confirmation Class of
ten each received a Prayer Book
from the A.C.W.
Monies were voted to the
Mr. and Mrs, U. R. Milton of
Kitchener and Mrs. Ross Milton
of Moncton, N.B., were recent
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jim
McCall. We welcome Mr. and
Mrs. Salverda, Sr., to our village.
They purchased their home from
Jack Lee. It was recently vacated
by • Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Shabbrook.
Miss Ann Fairservice is at
present in Tobermory
conducting a class in various
crafts.
Mrs. Townsend left Saturday
for a few days with her sister in
Oshawa.
Torn Airdrie is spending a few
days with his uncle and aunt in
Pickering.
Mrs. Lloyd Peterson and baby
spent a few days last week with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs, J.
Henderson. Mr. and Mrs.
Henderson spent the weekend at
Mrs. Peterson's home. •
Sandy Broadfoot is a patient
in Seaforth Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Smith,
Bluevale, visited on Sunday with
Mrs. H. Berry.
Loyal Orange Lodge 1035
held its annual meeting in the
Orange hall on 'Monday evening.
It was preceded by a fowl
supper. The following officers

Jayne Snell and the' Junior Choir
supplied two anthems led by
Mrs. Shaddick.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Barrett of
Amherstburg visited on Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Jones.
We are sorry to report the
serious illness of Charles Snelling
in Victoria Hospital, London.
Mrs. William Tompkins and
Mrs. J. A. McEvven are patients
in Clinton Hospital.
A large crowd attended
I.O.O.F. banquet at the school
on Thursday evening.

District Master Weliwood Gill of
Grand Bend and County officers
Russel Page and Alex Hamilton
of Grand Bend.
A committee was also
appointed to prepare the skating
rink as soon as weather permits.
