Johnson, Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a • floor-length wedding gown of white peau de sole trimmed with white satin, styled with a fitted bodice and natural -waistline. Her headpiece was white lace mantilla, and she carried a crescent-shaped bouquet of red roses and white ste'phanotis. Maid of honour, Miss Ruth Ann Coleman, of Cromarty, sister of the grooM wore a floor-length cerise velvet gown with natural waistline and bodice of heavy lace in pink and ca Ise tones with matching velvet headpiece and carried a basket of white mums and maidenhair fern. Kenneth M. Briggs of Flint, Michigan, cousin of the groom, attended as groomsman, and George Layyson, Stoney Creek, brother of the bride, and John Jacobi, London, friend of the groom, ushered guests. For receiving guests at Sidonia Hall, Stoney Creek, the bride's mother wore a cranberry dress with gold coloured accessories with which she wore a yellow orchid corsage. The groom's mailer chose a jacket and dress ensemble of turquoise chantung, grey and silver accessories and pink orchid corsage. The hall was beautifully decorated with cerise carnations. For travelling to Smokey Mountains, Tennessee, the bride wore a dark green dress and jacket, with accessories in black, and yore a corsage of yellow rose buds. The young couple will reside at 232 Oakland Avenue, London, Ontario. Tawny Owl, Mrs. Rodger Venner, enrolled Cathy Wedge, Mary Beth Jantzi, Kim Boyle, Karen Boyle, Jackie McClinchey, Dale Armstrong, Brenda Campbell, Melina Veal and Kin Stewart. Brown Owl, Mrs. Robert Cook, enrolled Vicki Baker, Kelly Dalton, Lisa Hyde, Ann Jackson, Julie Mock, Linda Lenting, Debbie Venner, Shelley Wareing, and Barbara McCurdy. Nancy McCurdy received her toymakees badge and Tracy Turner her collector's. Ten Athlete's badges were achieved during a recent field day. President, Mrs. Tom Biintnell, gave a meditation on Remembrance Day. The worshin service opened with singing. Mrs. Alf Ross chose for her topic, "To Be Alive", followed with a missionary prayer by Mrs. Jack. Brintnell. Guest sneaker for the meeting was Mrs. Sterling Graham 'of Cromarty, who showed pictures of her trip to Hong Kong. A reading was given by Mrs. Percy Wright. * * Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bell and Helen, London, were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle. * * * Public funeral services were held for the late Harry Faber at the Bonthron Funeral Home last Saturday, conducted by Reverend H. F. Currie. Pallbearers were Russell, Ross and Steve Faber, Tom Penhale, Emmerson Coleman, Ken Faber, Flowerbearers were Bill Sims and Pete Decays: Burial was in EXeter cemetery. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ervin Willert were held from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zurich, last Friday, conducted by Reverend A. C. Blackwell. He carne to Oanada from Holland as a young boy With his parents, settling 'in ifensaii district some 50 years ago, Where he farmed. WaS a widower, PERSONALS Miss Mary Thomson, of R.R. 2, Kipnen, who is a patient in War Memorial Children's Hospital, London, and who underwent surgery two weeks ago, and who will have to remain in the hospital for three months, is improving nicely. Mary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomson, and a grade 9 student at South Huron District High School, Exeter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Coleman and Ruth Ann of Cromarty were guests Sunday with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Coleman, London. * * * Flowers in the sanctuary of Hensall United Church Sunday morning were in memory of Mrs. Ervin J. Willert and Mr. Harry Faber, placed by the families. Mr. Murdock Morrison of Varna United Church was in charge of the service. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shupe and daughters of Champaign, Ill., ,were recent visitors with Mrs. Irene Jinks and Susan, and Mrs. Bertha Jinks. Mrs. Alice Joynt celebrated her 90th birthday Sunday with het sons, Dr. William Joynt of London, Dr. Harry Joynt and family of Toronto. She received an Attractive framed certificate from Prime Minister Robarts and congratulatory letters from. the Honourable Charles MacNaughton, treasurer and Minister of Economics of Ontario and Huron M.L.A.
