A meeting of the Electors of the Township of Tuckersmith
will be held in the Huron Centennial School, Brucefield on
Monday, November 18, 1968 for the purpose of nominating
candidates for the offices of. Reeve, Deputy Reeve, and three
Councillors for Tuckersmith, and a Separate School Trustee for
the combined area of Tutkersmith, Stanley, Bayfield and
Seafcirth, for the years 1969 and 1910.
Nominations will be received from the hour .of Half past Seven
o'clock to Half past Eight o'clock in the evening.
TAKE NOTICE THAT a Ratepayers Meeting will follow
immediately the closing Of nominations.

The bride is the.daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stewart
Beattie of Wingharn. Mr, and
Mrs, Ross Robinson of Auburn
are the groom's parents.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride looked stunning
in her floor-length gown of
white. French pure silk peau. The
bodice was highlighted by a
bateau neckline, long sheath
sleeves and a gently fitted waist.
Elegance was portrayed in the
graceful lines of the sheath skirt.
The centre of attraction was the
Magnificent cathedral train
cascading from the back
neckline under a full-length veil
of silk illusion which was held
by , a wedding ring band of silk
peau. The bride carried an
ethereal 'cascade of stephanotis,
phalaenopsis orchid and baby's
breath.
Bridal attendants were Mrs.
Vild Berry of Ottawa as matron
of honour, Miss Sandra
MacLennan of Toronto, Mrs.
Marilyn Robinson of ' Sarnia,

BestMan Was Robert Beattie
of Toronto. Guests were ushered
by Ted ,Weiss of Kitchener,
Cameron Robinson, Sarnia;
Robert Cook of Clinton and
Garry Robinson of Wroxeter.
• Mrs. Beattie, the bride's
mother, wore a royal blue pure
silk worsted coat and dress
ensemble with matching crystal
beading on cuffs of the coat
complimented by a hat of blue
partridge feathers. Her corsage
Was a white •orchid.
The groom's mother chose a
green and gold brocade coat and
dress. ensemble with matching
green hat. She wore a corsage of
bronze mums with yellow baby
roses,
• Following the reception and
dance at the Blue Barn,
Listowel, the bride for travelling
changed to a tailored camel suit
with dark brown hat and
accessories and she wore a
Corsage of bronze daisies. The
couple will reside in Scarboro.

anniversary held last.Sunday at

Smith is the •director of Western
Ontario Regional broadcasting

Sunday school even if you grew
up.
The music was in charge of
the Church Prganist, Mrs.
Norman Wightman. The Jon*
Choir sang the anthem, give
the Lord my all. -
The service was led by Allan
McDougall and Daryll Ball. At
the beginning all Sunday school
students placed gifts in a white
manger. The Misses Karen East
and Klaska Koopmans received
the gifts, The offering was
received by Keith Lapp, Murray
Wightnian, Douglas Durnin and
Rick Lowe: The ushers were
Paul Chamney, Glen Naylor,
Dana Bean and Rickey
Archambault.

arid spoke of his work when he

and is now at Ottawa where he is
employed by the CEO.

met in Knox United Church
Sunday school room for their
meeting with the president,
Marie Plunkett in charge. All
repeated the purpose and a
hymn was sung with Betty Moss
at the piano. Donna Baeehler
read the scripture lesson and all

the offering, which. was

• According to a new bylaw in
the constitution, the annual
meeting must ' be held in
November instead of December.

bring in a slate of officers for the
annual meeting _ to be held on
'November 29. •

A buffet lunch and
anniversary cake was served by
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Tate of
Auburn on their First Wedding
Anniversary, November 4.
Guests were Reverend and Mrs.
Roberts of Auburn, Mrs. Loretta
Colman, formerly of
Georgetown, Mr. and Mrs. Percy
Youngblut of Auburn and Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon , Gross of
Auburn.
It is only the second time in
the 32-year history of the
organization that a man has been
elected to three consecutive
one-year terms.
Charles Huffman was
returned as past-president. He
comes from Harrow.
The elections were held at the
Royal York Hotel in Toronto at
the annual convention.
Thomas Robson of
Leamington was returned as the
organization's first
vice-president. Roy Coulter of
Campbellville, and Keith
Matthie of Algonquin were
re-elected to serve as second
vice-presidents.
Also chosen as second
vice-presidents were Frank Wall
and Bob Allan. They replace
Leonard Laventure of Glasgow
Visitors on Monday with Mr.
and Mrs. William J. Craig were

and Mr. and Mrs. Ray
