The young couple will reside in London, where the groom is in his final year of Honors business administration at U.W.O. Mrs. Chisholm also entertained in honor of her daughter at a Bridal Tea on 0 October 5. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Harris, Goderich, hosted pre-nuptial party for the young couple and Mr. 'and Mrs, ellchamber entertained the bridal party at their home in l3ayfield, f011owing the wedding 'rehearsal on October 11. Trinity branch meets Trinity Branch of the Anglican Church Women met at the home of Mrs. Paul on Thursday, October 17. The meeting opened with the singing of the Harvest Hymn followed by prayer led by the Rev. E. J. B. Harrison. The Parable for Today Was read. The treasurer reported that there is a balance of $204,05, The annual meeting will be held November 21 at 11 a.m. at the church followed by a pot luck lunch. It was voted that the balance of the maintenance be paid, that $10 be sent to World Missions and $10 to the Primate's Relief Fund and three pounds to Sister Dorothy Dykes as a Christmas present. It was decided to order 75 calendars for 1969 to be sold at 65c each. ` The meeting closed with prayer led by Rev. E, J. 131 Harrison. A delightful tea was served by Mrs. Paul. Community . centre Mrs. Phyllis Maloney, Mrs. Elaine Brandon and Mrs. Carolyn Snell have been made "Managers of all Community Centre activities" reports Community Centre Board chairman, Bob Snell. On Thursday evening Board members Bob Snell, Mert Merner, Lloyd Makins and secretary treasurer Charlie Scotchmer met to deal with routine business. Members discussed progress of the construction program and hope to have the auditorium ready for use by the end of the year. This also entails installation of the heating system. A financial report given by Charlie Scotchmer shows: Bank balance 1 / 6.8, $110.32; Proceeds Tuesday Club Dances, $175.10; Donations, "Individuals", $8500; Rent, Rollarena Committee, $530.00; Rent, Sale, Carnival, Picnics, etc., $80.00; Grant, Department of Agriculture. $5,000.00; Receipts January 1/68 — October 15/68, '$5,980.42. Expenditures; Hydro, $90.19; Audit, $25.00; Accounts payable, $4,192.09; Balance on hand October 15, $1,673.14, Total expenditures £o :date on auditorium and dressing rooms, $26,626.53; approximately $8,000.00 still needed to complete the project. Mrs. Irvine Tebbutt was hostess to the S.S. No. 4 Community Club for their regular meeting October 1st. The meeting was opened with the members repeating the Creed and the Lord's Prayer. Roll call was answered with the housekeeping task I like to do the best and the least. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer's report showed a nice balance on hand. The members decided to donate $10 to the C,N.I.B. and $10 to the Children's Aid Society. The November 'meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. pilisoNATA Mr. 'Willard Sturgeon is spending this week With his daughter and family, Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Stewart of Ripley, Mr.. and Mrs. Art Elliott' returned last week from a. ten-.day trip to Mliott Lake, While away, they spent some, time with the former's son 4410' family, Mr. and Mrs. Jahn Elliott and children. Mr. and Mrs.' Joe Beechie And children of London were at their cottage over the weelrehd. Mr. and Mrs, Gilbert Knight of Toronto sperit Saturday Wednesday at their village home. Weekend guests at The Albion Hotel were: Mrs. Charles Nunn, Mrs. Charles .Simmons • and children, Rebecca, Yvonne and Charles Scott, all of Port Dover, and Mr. and Mrs. N. 0, Jowett, London. Mr. and Mrs. John Bezak of Warren, Michigan, were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weston. Mr. and Mrs. John Rayner and their five sons, London, spent the weekend with Mr.:. and Mrs, Arnold Makinsn Mr, George Cantrick and sons, Birmingham, Michigan, were at their cottage for the weekend. Spending the weekend at The Little Inn were: Mrs. G. Welch of Sarnia, Mrs. R. W. Booth, Toronto, and Mrs. T. Sowres and son Christopher of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Mrs. John Pearson returned home on Monday after spending a month in Longeuil; near Montreal, with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Corriveau. • Ladies guild party The Ladies Guild of Trinity Church held a very successful euchre and bridge party in the Parish Hall on Friday evening. Euchre prizes going to : Ladies high, Mrs. A. Finbumer; Ladies low, Mrs. Walter Westlake; Ladies lone hands, Mrs. S. McClinchey. Harry Oakes in the evening on Wednesday, November 6. Roll call will be an exchange of your special preserves (recipe and sample). The meeting was clOsed with the Mizpah Benediction. Mrs. Jack Merrill read an article called `Time' and Mrs. Lorne Tyndall conducted several contests. Lunch was served with Mrs. Jack Merrill and Mrs Lorne Tyndall assisting Mrs. Tebbutt, * * * Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Mel Klazinga on the birth of a son, October 28, in the Goderich Alexandra and Marine Hospital Dianne Elizabeth Chisholm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benson R. Chisholm of Goderich, and Nigel George Bellehamber, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. G, Bellchamber, Bayfield, exchanged marriage vows in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Goderich, on Saturday October 12. Yellow and gold chrysanthemums decorated the church for the double-ring ceremony performed by the Reverend Ft. Moynahan. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of classic simplicity. Fashioned from French cut chiffon velvet, the' floor-length gown had a modified A-line skirt, high jewelled cowl neckline, and a cathedral train falling in graceful folds from the shoulders. A Queen Anne matching velvet crown held her four-tier silk illusion veil. She carried a cascade of yellow Gloria roses, white stephanotis and. trailing ivy, Mr.. Ed. Stiles, Goderich, at the organ, accompanied Mrs. Avis Bisset ; also of Goderich, as she sang "Now Thank We All Our God"; "Ave Marie" and "0 God of Loveliness",. The bridal attendants were; Mrs. Judy James as matron of honor, Miss BeVerly Brindley, Miss Lorraine Talbot, all of Goderich, and Miss Lynda Chisholm of Lucknow, niece of the bride.
