Committee wish to announce an extension of the opportunity to register for evening classes. The following classes need approximately ten more registrants in order for a class to be started, Subject to obtaining the necessary registrants, the classes will begin the week of October 21. Twenty-five members of Hensall Legion Ladies Auxiliary attended a dinner banquet at Dominion Hotel, Zurich on Tuesday evening October 1. The occasion was celebration of the' 19th anniversary of the Auxiliary. The meeting which followed the dinner was chaired by president Mrs. Garnet Allan. • Ten dollars was donated to the C.N.LB. Highlights of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Legion convention held at Ottawa were given by Mrs. Allan and Mrs. Grant Bisback who attended as delegates. Bowling teams will participate in the bowling tournament 'at Exeter this month, Sports committee, Mrs. Clarence Reid and Mrs. William Smale, are planning for a social in the near future. Robert Carson of Lucat . was guest Minister at the Harvest Home Service at St. Paul's Anglican Church Sunday morning October 6, delivering a challenging discourse. The choir under direction of Mrs, Frank Forrest rendered an anthem. The church was appropriately decorated with flowers, fruits and vegetables. This month (October) is traditionally set aside for the public to support the work of the Canadian Institute for the Blind. Give your support when the canvassers call on you. Mr. Miles has been transferred to a special assignment in Toronto. He will study legislation affecting farmers.
