Hall October 23, Mrs. Robinson
and Mrs. Harry Snell were
delegated to buy and ,replenish
dishes which are short for the
hall.
The program consisted of a
piano instrumental by Wendy
Caldwell, a solo by Betty Snell
accompanied by Barbara Snell.
Mrs, Torn Allen showed
Pictures of local scenes and
Weddings which have taken place
during the past 16 years which
rought to mind many
interesting and familiar faces.

conducted a'' contest which
everyone enjoyed.

walk-a-thon would be held on

The walk will be from
Londesboro to Clinton and back
to Londesboro. Proceeds will go
to Biafra.
Anyone wishing to help is to
contact a Hi-C member. Business
was concluded and Mrs.. Taylor
showed, some slides on her trip
to the Malay Peninsula.

wedding veil fell from a white
band which was held in place by
orange blossoms which her

white Bible with orange rose

Morrison, London, brother of
the bride, were ushers.
Receiving guests at the
reception following • in the
Church Parlours, Mrs. Morrison
wore a light pink silk dress with
matching jacket and hat, black
accessories and a corsage of
white carnations. The mother of
the groom, Mrs. McAsh, chose a
light green crepe dress and jacket
ensemble with matching hat,
black accessories and corsage of
yellow carnations.
For travelling to Eastern
Canada, the bride donned a
brown and white two-piece coat
and dress with brown accessories
and a corsage of orange
rosebuds.
Upon their return, the young
couple will take up residence in
Varna, Ontario.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was honoured at a linen
shower given by Mrs. Peggy
Morrison and Mrs. Gordan
Graham, London and also at a
community shower in Varna.

candlebra formed a pleasing
background for the marriage of
Shirley Ann, youngest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Sid McCullough,
King St., Blyth, to Bruce John
Hulley, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin Hulley, R.R.1,
Londesboro, Saturday
afternoon, September 28, at 4
p.m. in Blyth United Church.
The minister of the church,
Reverend W. 0. Mather,
officiated for the double-ring
ceremony. Mrs. Donald Kai,
church organist, played
traditional wedding music and
accompanied the soloist, Mrs.
Harold Campbell, Blyth, as she
sang "The Wedding Prayer" and
"The Lord's Prayer".
The bride who was given in
marriage by her father was
lovely in a white floor-length
gown of hand clipped chantilly
lace over taffeta. The bateau
neckline and short sleeves were
enhanced by a cape effect which
swept to a full' ebapelgiainnier
shoulder-length four-tiered
was, held in place by -a .dainty
rose petal headpiece. She carried
a bouquet of Orange Delight
roses and white stephanotis
entwined with net and bronze
taffeta ribbon.
Mrs. Ivan Cook, only sister of
the bride, was matron of honour
in a floor length gown of moss
green moire taffeta, with yellow
shasta daisy headpiece. Her
flowers were an arrangement of
yellow shasta daisies set in net
and entwined with the same
ribbon loops as used in the
bride's bouquet.
Misses Brenda Shaw, Blyth,
and Jean Hulley, R.R.1,
Londesboro, sister of the groom,
were bridesmaids. Their
costumes and flowers were
identical to the matron of
honour.
The best man was Mr. Ivan
Cook of Blyth and the ushers
we're Messrs. Neil McNichol of
R.R.4, Walton, and Lorne
McDonald of Schomberg,
Ontario.
The bride's gift to her
attendants was a black diamond
necklace and the groom's-was a
gold tie pin,
The wedding dinner was held
in the church parlor where the
bride's mother 'received the
guests wearing a street-length
dress of bonded gold metallic
brocade with green and brown
accessories and a corsage of
orange delight roses.
She was assisted by the
groom's mother in a
street-length dress of blue
metallic silk brocade with black
accessories. Her corsage was
bright pink carnations.
A reception was held in Blyth
Memorial Hall. Jim Scott's
orchestra supplied the music.
Following the reception the
happy couple left for a
honeymoon 'o Midland,
Huntsville and i 7,e.iquin Park
areas. The brick ..avelled in a
shrimp corded crepe suit with
black accessories.
They will reside on Main,St.,
Seaforth, Ontario. Guests at the
wedding were from Blyth,
Bornholm, Mitchell, Seaforth,
London, Kitchener, Toronto,
Brantford, Listowel, Schomberg
and Scarboro.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was the recipient of a
miscellaneous shower in her
honour in Blyth United Church.
