Boyes, Clinton,. who defeated Gary Cummings in.the final match. The competition, between about 28 local members, started in mid August and by last Saturday all but three had been eliminated, Frank Cummings, Gary Cummings and Bud Boyes. There were interesting exhibits by Bayfield Branch of Huron Historical Society in addition to the carefully selected produce, home baking and displays of domestic skills, paintings etc. List of prize"winners were incomplete on Tuesday evening and we hope to have a full report in next week's News-Repord. Francis in Bayfield. Lion Bill Clark will be in charge of the canvass in Varna. The Albion Hotel, Bayfield was selected for the annual genera 'dinner meeting of the Huron District, Boy Scouts of Canada. The meeting will be October '16 and good attendance 'is expected as Scout Section Leaders will be eligible to vote for the first time. It would be appreciated if clothes and toyS for children up to seven years old could be brought to the deanery meeting. The meeting closed with prayer led by Rev. .E. J. B.
