turns down
CFB BID
Central Huron secondary
school board trustees have
turned down a bid by the
Canadian Forces Base, Clinton,
for representation on the board.
They told Col. E. W. Ryan,
base commander, that according
to the board of education.
trustees must be elected by
muncipalities served by the
school.
Observers from the base,
however; would be welcome at
meetings.
Children from the base make
Op about one-tenth of the
school's total 990 enrolment.
The board also decided not to
send delegates to a London,
seminar for Western Ontario
school trustees October 24 — 26,
because area boards will be
taken over January 1 by a
county board.
