Church, Zurich, Ontario, on
Saturday, June 29, for the
wedding of Carol Dianne eldest
f. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Peck of Zurich and James Eldon,
son of Mrs. Kirton and the" late
Eldon Kirton of Bluevale. •
Rev. Everatt Hawks of
Bluevale performed the double
ring ceremony assisted by Rev.
Murdock Morrison, pastor of
Goshen. United Church.

provided *the wedding music.
With Miss Barbara Snell at the

bridesmaid, gowned in powder
blue peau de soie with empire
waist trimmed with pearl
droplets. Miss Cheryl Peck, sister
of the bride and Miss Elaine
Kirton, sister of the groom, were
bridesmaids all wore identical
goWns and carried crescent
bouquets of white starburst
poms. Another sister, Kathy
Peck, as flower girl wore an
empire waisted white gown of
peau de soie with lace trim and
bell sleeves. She carried a
miniature bouquet of white
starburst poms centred by a
single pink delight rose.
Rodger Kieffer of Hamilton
was groomsman and guests were
ushered by Wayne Peck, brother
of the bride and Tom Winter of
Walkerton, brother-in-law of the
groom.
At a reception in the church
Parlour, the bride's mother
received the guests in a beige
lace ensemble with matching
accessories and a corsage of deep
pink carnations. The groom's
mother assisted gowned in a blue
printed - sheath With pink
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations.
The bride's table was centred
with a• three-tier wedding cake,
pink arid white bells and
streamers decorated the
basement, while different
coloured roses and candles
graced the tables.
After the reception, the bride
donned for travelling a matching
yellow coat, dress and hat with
white accessories and a corsage
of white carnations.
Guests attended from
Toronto, Windsor, Hamilton,
Stratford, St. Marys, Arthur,
Clinton, Goderich, Londesboro,
Seaforth and Zurich.
After a trip to northern
Ontario the young couple will
reside at 4026 Petrolia Street,
Petrolia. The bride, a graduate of
Stratford Teachers' College, will
join the staff of a Plymston
Township Central School, while
the groom is employed at
Toronto Dominion Bank in
Petrolia.
Prior to her marriage, she was
entertained at several showers.
The staff of Hensall Public
School had a surprise shower at
a4..noon' luncheon at the home of
"Mit: ' -Robert Raeburn. The
Zurich and Varna 4-H Club girls
and leaders had a miscellaneous
shower at the home of Mrs. Bill
Dovison, Varna. A surprise
tupperware shower was held by
the family at the home of Mrs.
Jack Snell, Londesboro, an aunt
of the bride. A community
shower at Goshen United
Church and a lingerie shower at
a cousin of the bride, Miss Gail
Fisher, of Goderich.
Mrs. Robert Peck entertained
at a Trousseau Tea for her
daughter, Dianne, on Saturday

decorated the dining room
where Mrs. R. M. Peck, Hensall,
and Mrs. John Snell,
Londesboro, (grandmothers of
the bride) poured tea in the
afternoon, In the evening, Mrs.
Ray Fisher (aunt of the bride) of
Goderich and Mrs. Courtland
Kerr (aunt of the groom)
Benmiller, presided at the tea
table.
The table was tastefully
decorated with a hand crochet
tablecloth and a centrepiece of
red roses and candles.
Displaying the trousseau were
Misses Barbara Snell, Bonnie
Snell, Gail Fisher, Donna Peck,
Elaine Kirton, Pat Elliott, Joan
' Elliott and Mrs. Gail Winter.
Serving were Mrs. Ivy Fisher,
Misses Cheryl Peck, Jaynie,
Jo-Anne and Betty Snell, Kathy
Elder, Lynn Elliott, Audrey
Kirton. Attending the bride's
book were Misses Kathy Peck
and Julie Snell. About 120
guests signed.

the home of Mrs Len Arnston,
given by Twyla Arnston and Bev
Cudmore, Mrs. Mary Grigg also
had a lovely shower at her home
with Mrs. Norma Draper and
Mrs. Mildred Cameron assisting.

The 'Clinton Women's
Institute held their annual picnic
in the Clinton community park
July 25 with a good attendance.
The president Mrs, W. CoIclough
opened the meeting with the
Mary Stewart Collect, The
minutes of the last meeting were
read by the secretary Mrs. H.
Murch arid were accepted as
read. Mrs. M. Batkin gave the
financial report, Correspondence
was read and dealth with.
It is being planned to have a
bus trip to London in August,
Mrs. F. Cummings gave the
flower and card report. The
thank-you. notes Were read by
the secretary. Mrs. M. Nivens
was appointed to attend the
Atignst Meeting Of the

rifeeting was then turned over to
the sports committee. ,
A penny sale was conducted
by Mrs. Mann and Mrs. P.
Cummings. Mrs, J. Gibson and
Mrs. Ross were in charge of the
