Picnics are- one of summer's
special delights. But play it safe,
whether you have a cooler or
not. The Home Economists at
Macdonald Institute, University
of Guelph, advise that you leave
behind perishable desserts like
pies, puddings, and cream. dishes.
Ontario grown fresh fruit is
readily available, easy to carry,
and makes the perfect dessert
just 'as is' ,at home or on a
picnic.
Don't forget the little extras
which put a finishing touch on a
meal. Carrot or turnip sticks,
radish roses, and celery fans are
an attractive addition to the
table and, say Home Economists
at Macdonald Institute,
UniverSity of Guelph, are , a
pleasant way of adding vitamins
to the diet.
