That's the question most
teams in the WOAA Pee Wee
league must be asking themselves
after the Clinton Club racked up
two more victories last week,
their seventh and eighth straight
wins.
The Kinsmen sponsored
Ponies, behind the great pitching
of Brian Langille, belted out 19
hits to easily defeat St. Mary's
by a 28 to 2 score last Friday
evening.
Langille, pitching his second
complete game of the season,
struck out 15 batters in the
seven inning contest, and did not
give up a single hit. St. Mary's
scored their only two runs on a
throWing error by Langille in the
seventh inning.
Four Clinton players scored a
total of 16 runs, each crossing
the plate four times. Steve Cook,
Brian Langille, Brian Kennedy
and' Robbie Stirling each crossed
the plate four times. Danny
Colquhoun batted in five runs on
a triple and a single in the fourth
inning. Stirling, Langille and D.
Colquhoun each had a double in
the sixth inning.

The Pee Wees continued their
winning way on Monday night
with an impressive 13 to 2 win
over the Mitchell nine.
Mitchell's lead off batter, G.
Leslie, tried to stretch a triple
into a home run but was tagged
out by Clinton catcher Mike
Anstett on a perfect throw from
Brian Kennedy. In the second
inning, another Mitchell player
tried ' for extra bases but was
tagged out by Steve Amsing at
third.
Robbie Stirling pitched his
Bantams win.
The Clinton Bantams edged
Listowel 10 to 8 on the local
diamond Monday evening.
The locals built up an early 7
to 0 lead before the visitors
managed to score. Pitcher Steve
Switzer allowed only three hits
in the first three innings, but
:gave up four hits and four runs
in the fourth inning. After four
consecutive walks by Switzer,
Brian Edgar took dyer the
pitching duties. He struck out
the first batter to face him, but
gave up a bases loaded triple to
Listowel's Dale Fleischauer.
Switzer, who had been placed in
centre field, relayed the. Well hit
ball to third baseman Jack
Kirsch, Kinch threw a perfect
strike to catcher Barry Edgar
who put the tag on Fleischauer
as he attempted to score.
Zeke Fremlin, Brian and
Barry Edgar, and Gary
Cummings each scored two runs
for Clinton. Jack Kinch and
Steve Switzer scored the other
two runs, Switzer's coming on a
third inning home run with two
men on base .
