We have been going to Bayfield for five years taking along our hound who is ten years old and nothing like this has happened before. Our cottage is on the south side of Bayfield and shortly after we arrived on Friday evening our dog was taken and dumped off between Goderich and Bayfield. Fortunately,' he found his way to the Salvation Army Camp where, of course, he was taken in by the ' children. He loves children and has never harmed anyone in the entire ten years we have had him. By pure At the Bayfield. Council meeting Monday night, Cotincillor Sturgeon said he had been asked qnestions relative to the free use of the Village Hall for the last two dances held. there. He further said that on each occasion the entire proceeds had been passed to the Community Centre Board and that Mr. Lindsay had donated his services free of charge, Councillor Merner, seconded by Councillor Sturgeon, moved that "any group or groups donating full proceeds to the Community Centre or Village of Bayfield be granted use of the hall free of charge." A discussion of drainage prObleMs in the Susan, Charles, Chiniquy, Delevan Streets area resulted in a statement by Councillor Kerner that he would have estimated costs to present at the next Council meeting. The clerk Mrs. Phyllis Maloney, reported the $5,000 grant towards the Bayfield Community Centre has been received. accident, we were informed he was at the Camp and picked him up Saturday night. Sunday morning he was out for a run and never goes too far from our cottage. However, this was a bad run for him. He came home dosed with turpentine. I never want to see a dog go through this torture again. He virtually went mad, tearing and running, and actually cried for well over an hour. He was sick for the entire day. I can only say the man who did this must have a sick, warped, twisted mind. He has absolutely no love for animals. He should have followed the dog home and witnessed what his cruel act did to this animal. He would think twice before doing this again unless, of course, he is only part human. Mrs. L. C.
