Reid of CFB Borden in a double-ring ceremony_ performed by Rev. George Larose on May 25, in St. Theresa's Church, Ottawa. The bride, given in marriage by her brother-in-law Desmond J. Lee, chose a floor-length gown of peau de soie applicade with sequins on the bodice and elbow length bell sleeves with matching train, Her shoulder length veil of tulle was held with pedals• and sequins and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink baby roses and' white miniature mums. She was attended by Mrs. Andre Laberge as matron of honour wearing a floor length gown of pink satin, with white over lace and pink satin bow as her'headdress. Father Joseph Feeney officiated :at the marriage of Evelyn Louise, Cracknell, daughter of Mr. 'and Mrs. James Cracknell, of Florence, and Thomas Joseph Feeney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Feeney, of Clinton. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length, empire waist, A-line dress of white peau-de-soie, with petal point sleeves and floor length train. Organist, Mrs: pert Boyes accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Robert Homuth, Clinton, who sang "0 Father all Qreating" before the ceremony, "The Lord's Prayer" during the. ceremony and. "Q Perfect Love" during the signing .of the register.. To the strains of "Praiae My Soul the King of heaven,'; the bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother-in-law, Dr. Bryan Stone of Sarnia. She was radiant in a simple sheer over taffeta gown in Empire lines with bell sleeves and A-line skirt banded with lace. Her four-tier veil was held in place by a cap of . Chantilly lace. She carried a ' crescent ,of Stephanotis and leather fern, centered with a gardenia. Attending the bride were Miss Joy Langdon, maid of honour and bridesmaid, Miss Wendy Kirby, ' Sarnia, .sister of the groom. They wore sleeveless dresses of similar design to the bride's in printed sheer in shades of rose with small! .cap-like headpieces, Shoes and gloves were white and each carried a single long-stemmed white rose. Groomsman was Mr. John McKechnie of Sarnia and guests were ushered by Mr. Jacques Piggott, Hamilton and Mr. Rick McDermaid, Sarnia. At the reception in the Church hall, the bride's mother received guests in a soft rose dress with matching hat and a purse corsage of stephanotis, The groom's mother was gowned in an azure, blue dress and coat ensemble, with white accessories and a gardenia corsage: For the luncheon which followed, the bride's table was centered with a three-tier cake topped with cupids under a floral arch and surrounded by tulle with tiny blue mums nestled 'in the folds;-blue 'candles encircled with orange blossoms,:,. in silver holders.• •,, ' ••• • • The toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. Fry and to the bridesmaids by Mr. Piggott. For travelling, the bride wore a dark brown dotted voile dress with white accessories and a gardenia corsage. Guests were present from Sarnia, London, Kitchener, Petrolia, Burlington, Woodstock, Goderich, New Brunswick and England. The parents of the groom entertained after the rehearsal for the wedding party and out-of-town guests. Showers for the bride were Reid brother of the groom and ushers were Maurice Letreille and John Szilock. The reception was held at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, where the guests were welcomed by the mother of the bride in a beige sheath with matching lace coat, avocada green accessories and an orchid corsage. Assisting her was the groom's mother wearing a dress and matching jacket of yellow corded satin with white and yellow accessories and a corsage of white roses. For travelling the bride selected, a yellow linen dress with a yellow and white checked coat and a corsage of talisman roses. Following a honeymoon to New York State, the couple will reside in Ottawa. Guests were present from California, Syracuse, Wallaceburge, CFB Borden, Toronto and Varna. CRACKNELL white peau- de -soie 'roses!' Slid-. carried a cascade bridal bouquet of pink roses, white gardenias and pearl-studded stephanotis. The bride's only attendant, her sister, Miss Cheryl Cracknell, of Sarnia, wore a light turquoise, floor length gown, identical to the bride's with short sleeves. Her headdress was a cluster of nine matching peau- de -soie roses. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses, white mums and coloured miniature carnations. The groomsman was the groom's cousin, Joseph Feeney, of Dresden. Both he and the groom wore white dinner jackets and black trousers. Ushers were James Feeney, of Kitchener, brother of the groom, and Dale Cracknell, of Florence, brother of the bride. Mr. Richard Butler, of Florence, provided organ music for the ceremony. After the wedding, the wedding party journeyed to the home of Rev. Lloyd and Mrs: Cracknell, 4 Daleview Crescent, London, for pictures and refreshments on the spacious lawn , of St. Jude's Anglican Church Rectory. The reception was held in the Glen Allen Restaurant at 5:30 p.m., with 52 guests attending. Following the reception, the bride and groom left on a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Montreal. For travelling the bride wore a white fortrel dress with navy accessories and a corsage of red rose buds. Around her shoulders was a mink stole, the groom's gift to the bride.
