Declare winner of.
1967golf event
Due to inclement weather it
was impossible to complete the
Match Play event last Fall at
the Clinton-Bayfield Golf Club.
However play was resumed this
spring and a winner for 1967
declared.
The Telford family seems to
go all out to have their names
engraved on the trophy donated
by The Bayfield-Clinton Golf
Club in 1964, That year it was
won by Mr. George Telford of
Bayfield; who is also the Cap-
tain of the club. In 1965 it was
won by George again. In 1966
brother Stan Telford thought he
should like to see his name on
the trophy also, so he eliminated
several others to win. Not tobe
outdone by big brothers would
you guess the winner for 1967?
Roy Telford of Goderich.
Congratulations to all the
Telford boys for their fine ef-
fort.

waited for their pick-up.

at a snail's pace for four more
miles before two more surrend-
ered to the calling of their feet.
Seven weary but proud young
people completed the 30 mile
route.
Ruth Bysima, the top-walker
was first to arrive at the start-
ing point at 6:15 p.m. and the
remaining six came straggling
in during the next hour.

raised for the World Relief
Fund, an organiiation that helps
disastrous areas and the hungry
all over the world.

convention at Grand Bend on
Saturday, June 22.
Events of the day willinclude
a golf tournament, swimming,
boating, and an evening dance.
The original purpose of this
order, founded in 1904, was to -
provide social functions for its

to include the preservation of
Catholic historical landmarks,
persons, and events in North
America.
A provisional fund for the
training of teachers to aid the
handicapped and retarded
children was also established
by the Alhambras.
The Order gave $50,000 to
the Retarded Centre in Toronto
in April of this year, and has
made presentations to the Re-
tarded Children's groups in Ex-
eter and Petrolia,

any water other than that from

to the belief held by a few
anglers, the dumping of live,
unused bait fish into a lake
is not likely to benefit native
fish populations. In fact, the
reverse is sometimes the case
and releases of bait fish can
