run of the game for the Red
Sox came off an error, Mike
Anstett led the Twins with two
hits.
There will be one more week

The general meeting of the
UCW was held Tuesday even-
ing with guests from Wesley
Willis and Ontario Street
Churches, Myth and Walton.
The president welcomed the
visitors, hymn 582, "All things
bright and beautiful", was sung,
and Mrs.. Anderson gave the
devotional reading. The ladies
trio contributed two numbers. •
Mrs. Boyd Taylor, as guest
speaker, gave an interesting
talk telling of a trip to Japan
as a delegate and the friendly
Japanese people contacted.
An enjoyable hour was spent
with old friends as lunch was
served.

The WI held the June meeting
on Wednesday evening with a
number of visitors from Tiger
Dunlop and Walton.
An invitation to attend the
Auburn Institute in the after-
noon of June 18 was accepted.
Roll call was answered by
naming a country represented at
Expo last year, Mrs, Pipe gave
an interesting report- of the
Historical Society and Barbara
Lee gave an instrumental.
Leaders of the 4-H Club, Mrs.
Josling, Mrs. Keith Allen, Mrs. ,
Harry Smell and Mrs. Don
Buchanan were called to the
front and were presented with
a gift in recognition of the
splendid training the girls had
received.
Mrs. Howatt introduced the
guest Mrs. Jim Coultis of Bel-
grave who showed pictures taken
Mine on an extended tour to
Sydney, Japan and other points.
Mrs. Vincent favoured with a
solo.
