(Photo by Mint) ANNUAL CADET INSPECTION HELD FRIDAY Warm weather and clear skies brought a large crowd to Central Huron Secondary ,School Friday to view the annual Cadet Corps inspection, Reviewing officer' for the inspection was Lt. Col. R. Ritter, Commanding Officer of the 21st Field Regiment, Wingham. In- specting Officer was Lt. Moad, Area Cadet officer for Western Ontario. Members of the Inspecting Party were Lt. Col. Ritter, Lt. Moad, Cadet Lt. Col. S. Macaulay Capt. D. G. Ferguson; Corps Commander, Capt. R. Maloney; .Secretary Treasurer, Mr. W. Newcombe, Chairman of CDCI Board, Mr. W. R. Corbett, a member of CDCI Board, and Mr, D. Symons, Mayor of Clinton. Ceremonies began at with the General Salute and dress inspection of the ranks. Following the March Past, demon- strations were given in first aid, gymnastics, field crafts, ar. tillery and rifle fire. Cadet Lt. C:ol, Scott Macaulay was presented with the trophy for best cadet on parade. The best bandsman award went to Andrew Amsing, Troop 'Echo' won the award for best Platoon. while Mike Boissevain and Tom Campbell were named best senior and junior shots. Although cadet practices • were plagued by bad weather and absenteeism, throughout the year, Corps Commander Capt. D. Ferguson was satisfied with Friday's performance.
