William Boussey, a Grade 10 Seaforth District high school student, was named junior winner in the school's public speaking contest. Senior winner was Mary Sills of Grade 13. ' Top Speakers Named Kevin Buchanan, a Grade- 7 pupil at Hensel]. Public School, and Carmen Currie, a Grade 8 pupil, were named junior and senior winners respectively at the Hay Township School Area public speaking contest held at liensall. They will compete in zone finals March 2 at Brussels. Other contestants are from parts of Huron, Bruce and Perth counties. The two Hensell students were among 12 competitors from Hensall and Zurich public schools in the contest sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion ladies' auxiliary. Judges were Mrs. Grace Peck 'Mrs. E. He joined the instructing staff of the Off. icer Training Division of the Radar and Communications School at CFB Clinton in July 1961. He is married to the former Francine Landry of Toronto. (Canadian Forces Photo) Suspects Get Fourth Remand Two men. charged in connect. tion with the January 3 robbery of the Brucefield branch of the Bank of Montreal drew their fourth remand when they appeared in magistrate's court here Monday. Smith charged with armed robbery, is being held in County Jail, Goderich. Yuill; free on bail, is charged with possession of money stolen in the robbery. Thirsty thieves net beer, liquor Thirsty thieves were in action at Clinton and Zurich Iastweek. end, At Clinton's Branch 140 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and Brownie's car wash, thieves netted about $50. They ran. sacked the Legion hall, and ' took time out for a few beers before leaving. Police said damage to equip- ment at Brownie's amounted to about $100, Thieves at Zurich stole a $60 case of liquor and a 24-bottle case of beer after smashing their way into the liquor store. A man 'who lives across the them street saw and telephoned ' police. Road blocks were set up throughout the area. To enter the liquor store, the thieves smashed the front door, causing $80 damage.
