The look of Japan was presented by Miss K. McGregor who showed slides with accoms panying commentary. A quiz brought to light interesting facts on population, way of life, ex. ports and imports. The new Unit leader, Miss McGregor, took charge for the business period, opening with a poem., Roll call was answered with payment of fees and done* tion of a layette article for the 'Victor Mission. Reports of committees were given, and motion was made to continue the three methods of fund refs.. ing previously in use. Mrs. C. Elegance was portrayed in the gently controlled A,line skirt, while the main centre of at. tention was focussed on the detachable chapel train cascado ing from a tailored bow at the , back neckline and completely silhouetted with hand-clipped Chantilly lace. To complete her bridal out; fit, the bride wore a French pure silk illusion fingertip veil caught up by a cap of Swiss Guipure lace petals and tiny pearls. She carried a white bible with red carnations and white streamers tied with holly. Matron of honour Mrs. Bea Johnson sister of the bride and bridesmaids Gayle John. ston, Blyth and Bonnie Layton Clinton, provided a colourful background in their identical floor-length gowns of Kelly green French peau de sole. Scooped necklines and elbow. length sleeves enhanced the em. pire waist, while the sleeves were touched with a double ruff. The skirts were elegant sheaths, while a panel cascaded at the back from a bow at the neckline. To add a final touch to their ensembles, the bridal assistants wore matching bow headpieces accented by flatter- ing cocktail veils and tiny crystal crowns. They carried white mums with red and green holly in crescent shape. Wayne Stirling, of Clinton, ' was best man.
