Perhaps other teams would like the same wager with the half-dozen? Stan Frayne, who has had a 213 average thus far, tossed a 756 triple this week. Ken Hoc key, who has had a 213 average, tossed a 533 triple this week. Stan has been scorekeeper for the team and shouldered full re sponsibility for the little error (probably caused from the strain ’of "carrying the load”) in the j extra-frame game with the I Tradesmen last week, Perhaps, now that Stan is do ing the bowling for the Big Six, Ken wouldn’t mind doing the scorekeeping? Last year the triple-plus- liandicap scheme proved to be a headache, and an extra prize had to be handed out because of a mixup. This year, we believe the sys tem is better, simpler and even more fair. It gives the good bowlers and the lucky bowlers a chance to win a turkey for high triple and high single without the chance of a less experienced ■bowler winning by adding a 180 handicap to a 600-plds triple or a 60 handicap to a good single game. It also gives the average bowlers a good chance with four hidden scores. One turkey will go to the best triple. The bowler of the best triple can’t take the prize for high single. A bird will be awarded for the best single game. Four turkeys can be won with "hidden” triples. For the hidden numbers, this year they will be hidden without anyone possibly knowing what they are. There will be four envelopes, marked "4”, "5”, “5" and "6”. Numbers from zero to nine will be placed in two different hats, the numbers written in two dif ferent colors. One number will be drawn from each hat and placed unseen Into each envel ope, which Will be sealed. Thus the envelopes will Con tain triple scores of 4??, 6??, 5?? and 6??. Any questions? Oh, yes! In case of a tie the bowler with the better average wins.
