Poultry Producers
Toyr U. S. Farms
Sheldon D. Wein, manager of
Lakeview IIatchei;y, and Glenn
Stewart recently toured poultry
farms
States. Among the many farms
visited was the De-Kalb Com
pany, now the largest breeders
of poultry in the world.
This * company is doing
tensive work on inbreeding and
have purchased a number ‘
U.S. air force camps to keep
from 27,000 to 250,000 layers.
The final crosses are sold by
numbers rather than breeds and
the local producers purchase
1,200 of which 307 will be used
for improvement stock here. The
two report they received profit
