Prepare Skit The Lucan C.G.I.T. met in the United Church parlors for their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 4. The worship service was led by Rose Revington. A few games were played but most of the evening was spent in -practice for the Variety Show skit. Margaret Neil’s group will have charge of the next meeting. R.Sle- Recent RCAF Visitor To Succeed Curtis Air Vice-Marshall C. mon, recent visitor to RCAF Station Centralia at the opening of its dependents’ school, will succeed Air Marshall W. A. Curtis as Canada’s chief of air staff January 31, 19 53. A. V. M. Slemon is at present air officer commanding training command of which Centralia air­ port is a unit. Air Marshall Cutis’ service covered the entire period of the two world wars and the years in between. He is one of the few officers who Have served in all three services. Mr. and Mrs. Harold. Former Resident Passes Sophia Motz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Motz, of Crediton, aged 77 years, pass­ ed away at her home in Detroit, Mich,, Wednesday evening, No­ vember 6, In early life she moved to Pigeon, Mich., where she mar­ ried John Miller, later moving to Detroit. Mr. Milled died in 1945. Buriel was at Pigeon, Mich. She is survived by one sou, one granddaughter and great-grandchild, also a brother, Homer Motz Ubly. Mrs. a one half- C.
