Rev. R. A. Brook, of Bluevale, was guest speaker. Thirty years ago, Rev. Brook was pastor of Crediton charge, and it was during his pastorate here, the former church burped and the present edifice was erect­ ed. Working together, pastor and people were drawn togethei’ by ties which have never been severed. Rev. Brooks is always a welcome guest in Crediton. The subject of his morning ad­ dress was "The Quickening of Life” and in the evening, “Can­ dles in the Darkness”. Both messages were willed with worthy thoughts, long to be re­ membered. Ideal weather prevailed large crowds attended both vices. Rev. M. Griffin, rector of the church, was in charge of the morning service. Rev. M. A. Hunt, of Mitchell, was in charge of the evening service.
