Exeter, Tuesday afternoon, September 16 for their September meeting. Devotions were led by Mrs. William Cook assisted by Mrs. Welsh. A beautiful poein was contributed by Mrs. W. J. Py- bus, Mrs. E. Geiger, president, conducted the business period. A substantial sum was donated to­ ward the Hospitality Fund for the World Convention to be held in Vancouver next year. Plans were made for the visit of Mrs. Beth McKay to this area of Huron County in October. Mrs. McKay is Provincial Field Secretary for the W.C.T.U. The meeting closed with prayer by Rev. C. W. Down. The bride’s attendant, Mrs. Gordon Black, wore a waltz­ length'gown of cornflower blue embroidered net over satin, a matching velvet headdress and carried a cascade of white shasta1 mums. Groomsman was Jack Watson, Detroit, cousin of the groom and Fred Smithson, the bride’s .brother, and William Pit were ushers. To receive guests at the re­ ception held in the Glen Allen restaurant, the bride's mother wore a dress of light blue crepe with navy accessories and a cor­ sage of pale pink accessories. The groom’s mother assisted, wearing a dress of forest green, black accessories and a corsage of white carnations. After the reception, the couple left on a wedding trip to the New England states and the bride wore a navy and white wool dress, navy accessories and a gardenia corsage. EDGEWOOD Mr. and Mrs. George Moore and family, of Thorndale, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moore and family. Mrs. Kenneth Garrett and child arrived home from London hospita] Monday evening. Miss Betty Lou Garrett spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Garrett. Mr. and Mrs. Clare Dunlop, Earl Middleton, Delmer West­ man and Leslie Moore arrived home Sunday evening after a week in the Muskoka district. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Westman were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Powers, Lon­ don, Saturday evening, when the latter celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. A. Kew, of Glendale, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Metters. Mr. and Mrs. Harold West­ man and child, of London, visit­ ed with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Westman.
