Several teenage boys of the congregation returned home on Sunday after spending a week at the United Church camp near Goderich. Doig, and sister, Miss Janet Doig. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hutchi­ son, of St. Thomas, are spending a few days with the latter’s bro­ ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Meilis. Quite a number from here at­ tended the auction sale of the household effects of the late Mr. and Mrs, James Lawson in Ex­ eter on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. S. Green, of Grand Bend, visited one day last week with Mr. Jonah Green. Mrs. R. Torrence, of Porters Hill, is visiting her father, Mr. Henry Ivison. Mrs. McClymont is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alice Cook, in London. Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Munro are visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Munro, near Huntsville. Mrs. Kyle, of Clinton, is spending a few days at the home oi her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Kyle. Miss Mae Summers has re­ turned to her home in Winnipeg after a pleasant holiday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hood. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. S. Cudmore were Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Cudmore and Mr. and Mrs. Oaks, all of London. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hill, of Lucan, visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. N. Long. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Smith, of Guelph, returned to their home after spending a couple of weeks with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jarrott, and other re­ latives m the district. Service was held in St. An­ drew’s United Church here on Sunday at 11 a.m. The minister, Rev. Norman McLeod, B.A., B.D., took as his text “Saints In Unlikely Places”. The choir was under the direction of Miss Jean Ivison. A trio comprising Bonnie Kyle, Elaine Bell and Lois Mc­ Lellan, rendered a vocal selec­ tion. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Thomson and Marion were Sunday visitors with Miss Esther Neeb, near Dashwood. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gack­ stetter were honored by imme­ diate relatives on the occasion of their tenth wedding annivers­ ary Tuesday night. Interment was at St. James’ Cemetery, Clandeboye. Son of the late John and Mary Jane McMehen, he was born on the farm now owned by. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Guy Ryan, who is on a trip to Dakota, Mrs. J. Thompson presided. The scripture lesson was read ■by Mrs. Harold Hodgins. Owing to the illness of Mrs. R.
