until the end of the ninth when
a combination of errors by the
Ilderton team and good hits for
Dashwood netted the Dashwood
nine four more runs for a 6-2
win.
The Exeter-Clinton game went
only eight innings because of
darkness and batteries were for
Exeter—Taylor and Stephan, and
for Clinton—M. Hunking and D.
Hunking. The Clinton girls were
at their hitting best. Proctor
hit two doubles, Garon, one
double and D. Hunking four
singles in four bats. The Exeter
girls netted only four singles in
the game.
In Ilderton, Monday, both the
home team and Dashwood were
held down from hitting by
pitchers Pickering (Dashwood),

were Webb for Dashwood and
McNaughton for Ilderton.
During the regular series, the
two games played by Dashwood
and Clinton ended in a win for
each. It’s anybody’s guess what
will happen in the next few
championship games, but fans
may be assured that Dashwood
as an old league runner-up and
winner will fight hard for the
title.
