Top Lion Officers Meet At Bend Top officers of the Lions Clubs of District Al met with District Governor Victor Dinnin, of Zurich, at Grand Bend on Thursday of last week to map out a program for the coming season. A meeting was held in the afternoon at the Grand Bend hall and in the evening at the home of Mr. Fred Brewer. The officers were accompanied by their wives and were entertained by Mrs. Dinnin and Mrs. Brewer, Tlios present were: Bruce Malcolm, secretary, and Mrs, Malcolm, Toronto; Clayton Raw­ lings, Int. Canada To Receive U.S, Jet Trainers The U.S. airforce announced a number of Lockheed T-33 jet trainers will be loaned to Can­ ada. It did not say how many were involved. The jets will be used to aug­ ment equipment of the RCAF in its instructor-training program until Canadian production of T-33s gets under way. Speed Training Canadair, Ltd., of Montreal, has been licensed by Lockheed Aircraft Corp, to build in Can­ ada the two-seat, 60 0-mile-an- hour version of the F-80 Shoot­ ing Star. The air force said the loan of the T-33s will help speed the training of jet instructors. Can­ ada and the U.S. are participat­ ing in the program for develop­ ment of student pilots for na­ tions in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Jaques, of Woodham, spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs, Kenneth Langford. Cornelius Hoare Cornelius Hoare, who died at Clinton In his eighty-ninth year, was buried last Friday with the Rev. Glen Eagle officiating and interment in Clinton Cemetery. Mr. Hoare, born at Acton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hoare, was married 61 years ago at Exeter to the former Eliza­ beth Snell, who died in 1920. He was a member of Wesley- Willis United Church. He taught school in E. Wawa- nosh Township and later owned a musical shop in Clinton. He was also well known as a fruit grower and bee keeper. Surviving are three sons, Cyril, Pembroke; Austin, of London, and Carmen, of Clinton. Henry C. Krueger Henry C. Krueger, 68, of Waterloo, died at his home on Wednesday after a short illness, Born in Waterloo on August 18, 1884, he was the son of the late John Krueger and Whilhelmine Dearnd. He was employed by the Canadian Pacific Express Company for 3 8 years until re­ tiring four years ago. * Mr. Krueger attended? the Em­ manuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Waterloo. Surviving are five sons, Stew­ art and Howard of Waterloo; Ross of Crediton; Carl, of Allis- ton; Gordon, of Freeport; three daughTers, Florence, of Toronto; Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Snider, of Willoughdale; Mrs. Dorothy Cressman, of Waterloo; one brother, William, of Preston; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Seyler, and Emma, of Kitchener; and 14 grandchildren. The funeral took place at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Burial was in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. G. S.
