R. Gerrie and daugh­ ter, Dorothy, of Toronto, spent a few days at the home of Mr. , and Mrs. Warren Sanders. Miss Marnie Sanders has returned to Toronto with them and will spend a week there during which time she will visit the Canadian National Exhibition. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Minter have moved to Toronto, Mr. George Rether and George Jr. will be in Toronto until after the Exhibition where they are setting up and running a restaurant on the Exhibition grounds. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lawson, Peter and John are in Lucknow on two week’s holidays. Misses Carol and Joan West­ cott have returned home holidaying for* two weeks Mr. and Mrs. R. 0. Steph Loudon. Mrs. Ed. Hunter-Duvar Lillian left last Thursday to motor to Lethbridge where they will visit friends, they will stop in at the home of Duvar’s parents. Miss Jean Ingram, of Hensall, has taken a position with the H.E.P.C. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cutbush were Mr. and Mrs, Fred Rigsby, of Galt; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Coyle, of Gross Point Farms, Detroit; and Mr. and Mrs, Harry Gould, of Windsor. This week Mr. and Mrs. Gould have moved to Exe­ ter to live in the apartment at the Warren Sander’s home. Mr. Jack Mallett, of London, was visiting in town Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Farrow are holidaying at Wassago Beach and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tra- quaii’ were their guests for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. and children, returned to spending two parents, Mrs. Mr. and Mrs, Mr. and Mrs, Murray Marsh, of London, spent Sunday with Mrs. Marsh’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Kydd. On the way Saskatchewan Mrs. Hunter- J. P, Sanders of Wheatley, have their home after weeks with their Jessie Sanders and J. L. Kydd. Mr. hud Mrs. E. A. Moffatt and children spent the weekend with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. I>. A. Moffatt, Kippen. Master Brian Sanders spent a week’s holidays at Goderich and Master Winston Kerr returned to Exeter with him for a week. Miss L. Elliott spent last week visiting her niece, Mrs. Marion Simpson in Strathroy. Mr. Howard Ford, manager of the Canadian Tire Corp. Associ­ ate store in Brampton, his wife and two sons, have after Mrs. Mrs. . . . district, they attended the Miller-Ford wedding at Dash­ wood. Mrs. Clifford Hawe and Miss Barbara Hawe, of Hamilton, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wes Witmer and Leo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Belling and Marian, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hodgins, Bobbie ' and Elaine enjoyed a weekend trip to Southampton, Port Elgin, Sauble Beach and other points. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mac- Kenzie and Stewart, of London^ and Mrs. William Welsh, or Exeter, were in Toronto Sunday owing to the cousin, Mrs. formerly Ethel sail. Paul Coates, Mrs. Harry Coates, an operation in Victoria Hospital Friday for appendics. Mr. and and Edgar Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hunkin at Belmore on Sunday. Herbert Blatchford Funeral service for J, Herbert Blatchford, 6S, who died in Vic­ toria Hospital, London, were held from the Hopper - Hockey funeral home Monday afternoon with the Rev. C. W. Down of­ ficiating. Interment was in Ex­ eter cemetery. Mr. Blatchford, born in Hen- sall, later lived in Usborne town­ ship. In 1902 he went west. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. in Mrs. dist- Saskatchewan. Mr. and Blatchford returned to this rict in 1944. Surviving are his wife, former Christina Pepper; brothers, Dr. S. A, Blatchford, Fort William, and Roy, Exeter; three sisters, Mrs. William Wood, Mrs. W. S.
