Lon­ don, Wednesday, August 6, after a long illness. The funeral, Saturday after­ noon, was held from the Hopper- Hockey funeral home, conducted by the Rev. A- E. Holley witu interment in Exeter Cemetery. Mr. Reeder was born in Mc­ Gillivray township, and later lived at Fairfield. For the past 26 years, he was a resident of Exeter. He was a member of James Street United Church. Surviving besides his wife, the former Ethel Houlden, arp three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Pfaff, (Dorothy) of Exeter; Myrtle, of London, and Maxine, of Exeter. Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. Frank Reeder; a brother, John, of Centralia; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Huxtable, otf Exeter, and Mrs. Cooper Mc­ Curdy, of Centralia. Pallbearers were Messrs. Fred Huxtable, Cooper McCurdy, San­ ford Lawson, Jack Elliott, Lewis Kirk and Ed. Penliale, Messrs. He was rushed to Victoria Hospital for an ap- pendictomy and for several days his condition was quite serious. Latest reports states that he is improving nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Morley and Mr. and Mrs. Ewart Pym are motoring to the western pro­ vinces. They left Thursday morning. Mrs. E. M. Grove is in for a week. Charles Kerslake Services for Charles Kerslake, 78, who died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, were conduct­ ed Monday by the Rev. A. E. Holley and the Rev. C. W. Down in the Dinney funeral home, and interment made in Exeter ceme­ tery. His wife, formerly Mary Tay­ lor, died eight yaers ago. He was born in Usborne town­ ship and farmed there until re­ tiring and coming to Exetei’ 11 years ago, member of James Street Church and served on the trustee board. Surviving are one son, How­ ard, on the homestead, Usborne; and one daughter, Mrs. Mahlon Ryckman, Exeter. Soon after the last war, LAC Haworth re-enlist­ ed in the RCAF and was station­ ed at Centralia until he was posted last fall to Calgary.
