J. Lavis and Ivan on Saturday evening. Mrs. G- Carroll and Judy, of Detroit, are holidaying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carroll. Judy has been visiting with Alexia Davis. Many of the friends and rela­ tives from this community at- Vacation Bible School At Grand Bend Church A successful ten days of train­ ing for boys and girls of 11 ages has been completed at the Church of God, Grand Bend. Mrs. Rufus Turnbull, director, said it was a joy and a privilege to work with the girls, boys and teachers. The theme chosen for the course was "Sailing With Christ". The school opened July 21 with an attendance of 93 and closed July 31 with an enroll­ ment of 114. Offerings taken each morning amounted to over $28 which will go to privileged children at the centre in the Kentuckey tains. Teachers were Mrs. Ilormer, Mrs. Myron Mrs. K. Vincent, Mrs. 0. Farrell, Mrs. K. MacGregor, Mr. I. Vin­ cent, Mrs. E. Wttaue, Mrs. P. Thompson, Miss A. MacGregor, Rev. E. Wattaue. Parents were invited to attend the school the last morning and directors expressed their ap­ preciation to parents and others for interest in the project. Mrs. Clayton Ferguson Dies At Whalen The death occurred suddenly on Thursday morning of Mar­ garet Ferguson, beloved wife of Clayton Ferguson, at her home in Whalen. The late the former was in her .. ... She was born in Godericli. Surviving are her husband and two small sons, Ross and Lome, A dughter and a son died in infancy. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Box Funeral Home in Parkhill, conducted by Rev. Kenderick, of the Exeter Pente­ costal Church. Interment was made in Parkhill Cemetery.
