Mr. and Mrs. Irving Neil, of Shauvin, Alberta, and Mrs. Mary Ellen Maguire of Lucan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Samson Mc- Falls and other friends in Exe­ ter the early part of this week. Jack Mallot of London visited friends in Exeter Monday. Exeter Teachers Hold Recital Thirty youthful pianists per- formed before parents and friends at a recital given by their teachers, Mrs. Donald Tra- quair and David Brewster of London in Main Street United Church Thursday evening last week. In a program, interesting and varied, the young citizens of Exeter and district showed the excellent background they have gained in music in the past while, During an intermission in the program, Mrs. Traquair thanked parents for their inter­ est in attending the recital. She said that the musical progress of the pupils depended a great deal on the co-operation of par­ ents. After the intermission Ray­ mond Pennell of London who will take Mr. Brewster’s class beginning next fall, played two piano solos by Liszt. Mr. Pen­ nell is a student of the well known Clifford Poole of London. Pupils who participated in the recital were: Mary Shaw, Donald Jermyn, Carol Sutherland, Sandra Sni­ der, Roger Cann, Sandra Shar- row, Linda Westcott, Judy Snel- grove, Ted Sanders, Sylvia Johns, Heather MacNaughton, Louise Hockey, David Levy, Robin Smith, Diane Delbridge, Roxanne Beavers, Gary McDon­ ald, Sandra Walper, Hazel Spar­ ling, Marie Levy, Bev. Sturgis, Margaret Sanders, Jocelyn Howey, Marnie Sanders, Francis Hern, Jane Farrow, Jean Mc­ Donald, Agnes Bray. A reception was held in the Sunday School rooms of the Church after the recital. Luther Pym Luther Pym formerly of Cen­ tralia died suddenly at his home in Toledo in his sixty-nintli year. Those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ewart Pym and Myrna, Mr. and Mrs. George Davis and Mrs. James Kirkland and Malcom of town. Frank Farmer Funeral services for the late Frank Farmer were conducted from the Haskett Funeral Home. Rev. Father Fogarty and Father Ralph Glavin conducted the ser­ vice. Mr. Farmer has one surviving brother, Bert Farmer. Pall bear­ ers at the funeral were Harry Swartz, Gordon Wilson, James Glavin, William Thompson, John Glavin and Frank Hicks. Mr. Roy Kirk was at the home of his parents over the week­ end. Observance of the ANNUAL Decoration Day Grand Bend Cemetery is to be held on Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 p.m. A good programme is being prepared, consisting of special speakers, band music, singing, etc, Everybody welcome.
