Pastor Accepts Kipp en Call The Rev. Norman McLeod Lennex, Quebec, has accepted call from the congregation of St. Andrew’s United Church here. His duties will commence in July. He will succeed Rev, Albert Hinton who has been in. charge of Kippen and Hillsgreen United Churches for the past six years and who leaves the end of June for Quebec. o£ a | Showr Bride-Fleet ’ Honoring Miss Jean Foster, of London, a bride-elect of this week, a social evening was held j at the home of her. parents. Mr. (and Mrs. James A. Foster. Hen­ sail, Wednesday evening, May 28 with a large crowd of friends and neighbours present. . Games were enjoyed. During the evening Mrs. Leonard Noakes read an address to the bride- elct and Miss Gladys Luker made presentations of many lovely gifts. The guest of honor made a fitting reply. Attacked By Dog Gordon Deitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Deitz, Hensall, who celebrated his third birthday on Wednesday of last week, re­ ceived deep lacerations over his right eye and forehead requiring fourteen stitches when he was attacked and bitten by a large collie dog late Wednesday after­ noon last week. The child, who with his mother home of Mr. and Coleman of near playing outside when his mother heard his screaming and rushed out to see the dog on top of him. He was rushed to Clinton Hos­ pital by Dr. J. C. Goddard, Of Hensall, and released Thursday. Medhurst of the company introduced Miss Pat Ellison, Home Eonomist, and Mrs. Lewis, who conducted the demonstration of cooking. Draws were made during the evening, honors for drawing the lucky tickets went to Bonnie Kyle and Ann Sinclair. Mrs. Hedden, who had been visiting in Brantford, Hamilton and St. Catharines, returned home with them. The bowling season started in Hensall last Thursday night and a number of the bowlers enjoyed a good game. The monster bingos will start in about two weeks and wi» be held in the arena.
